Chapter 285 What A Coincidence
Lance looked very energetic today.
He was all in a white, white tracksuit and white sneakers.
When Faye finished it, Lance looked down at her and teased, "Didn't I tell you not to get out of the car?
Why did you do it yourself?"
Faye stood up, walked to the car, took a pack of wet tissue from inside, and wiped her hands calmly,
"He provoked me."
Lance laughed out loud, "You couldn't hold back?"
Faye stood with her back to Lance and said, "I wasn't bothered to hold back."
Lance said, "Are you calling the police?"
Faye raised her chin across the street and said, "There is surveillance."
The implication was that she was certainly going to call the police. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
Lance took the hint, took out his phone, and called the police.
After a short while, the police came and put Ralph into a police car.
Faye went to the police station to make a statement. After recounting the incident, the two policemen
laughed.
"This guy asked for it!"
"Probably he thought he could deal with a woman himself, but he didn't expect to be beaten."
After making a statement, Faye said she did not agree to a private settlement before she left the police
station in Lance's car.
Faye's damaged car was still parked on that street. She called the 4S shop and asked them to send
someone to tow it away and repair it.
On the way back, Lance laughed while driving, "Aren't you going to use insurance?"
Faye looked down at her watch and said, "I have limited time."
They hadn't seen each other for more than half a year, and they had said goodbye in a hurry after
seeing each other two days ago. Lance was very talkative now.
"What's going on between you and Colin? I didn't notice that you were interested in each other. I
thought you were just acting."
"Are you falling in love?"
"But it's normal. Colin is handsome enough to mess up your mind."
Lance asked questions, but Faye said nothing.
When Lance was getting tired, he glanced at Faye, took out a piece of chewing gum from his pocket,
and threw it into his mouth, "Well, it's a waste of my time again."
When Lance stopped asking questions, Faye looked at him and said, "When will you ever stop being
so talkative?"
Lance smiled, "It's my nature and it can't be changed."
Faye said, "Has Hank's grounding affected you?"
Lance laughed, "I'm just a henchman. What does it have to do with me?"
Faye said, "Don't take it lightly. Tiffany is not a fool. So many things have happened recently, and she
will doubt the people around her."
Lance was confident, "Then she wouldn't suspect me. Last month, there was a problem with the small
company in her name, and I helped her settle it. Now she likes me."
Lance was an accountant, and his accounting skills had helped him a lot over the years.
Lance was not a senseless person. Seeing that he was so confident, Faye felt relieved and smiled, "I'm
glad you know what you're doing."
Lance smiled, and then mentioned the orphanage, "The last time I called you, I wanted to tell you that
Blaine was going to demolish the orphanage. Do you know that?"
Faye frowned, "I don't know."
Lance said, "I also just received the news. I will take the time to inquire about it and let you know."
Faye said, "Okay."
Lance snorted, "Blaine is not as smart as Old Mr. Farrell."
The two were talking when the car arrived at Jonah Street.
The staff of the 4S store had arrived and were telling the truck driver to tow Faye's car away. There
were many people around.
Faye and Lance glanced out the car window without thinking much, thinking that the people around
were just curious.
They pushed the door open and got out of the car. Lance was chewing the gum, and suddenly he saw
someone familiar who looked out of place in the crowd.
Lance suddenly felt a pain in the back of his neck and the gum was stuck in his mouth.
What a coincidence! It seemed that enemies were bound to meet on a narrow road.
