Chapter 272 Difficult Path

Better the devil you knew than the devil you didn't.

Colin had hidden Ethan very deeply.

Old Mr. Farrell had always known that they knew each other, but he had thought they were just

acquaintances.

After all, Ethan was famous for being ruthless and acting alone.

Old Mr. Farrell had never thought he would be Colin's ally.

Even when dealing with Andrew's matter, Colin had only exchanged alienated greetings with him in

front of Hank and hadn't shown the slightest friendship.

Hearing the bodyguard's report, Old Mr. Farrell remained silent for a long time.

Then, he looked at Colin and chuckled, "You are more capable than your father and your elder brother."

Colin picked up the pot and refilled Old Mr. Farrell's glass again. This time, he didn't pour too much

water in but said solemnly, "My identity and desires to survival are different from theirs, so my skills and

capability are also different."

Old Mr. Farrell said, "I'm curious what you would do if I refused your request? Would you let Ethan Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

destroy the old mansion of the Farrells?"

Colin smiled calmly, "I don't know either, but we can wait to see what Ethan will do together."

Old Mr. Farrell was speechless.

As Colin finished speaking, the living room fell silent.

Five minutes later, one bodyguard of the Farrells who had been guarding outside the door came in and

said, "Sir, Ethan is ruthless. He has broken several people's legs, and he said..."

Old Mr. Farrell said sullenly, "What did he say?"

The bodyguard replied, "He said he will break one person's legs each minute until he sees Colin and

Abbot."

Old Mr. Farrell sneered, "He is too arrogant. His grandfather didn't dare to say such words to me even

when he was at his best."

The bodyguard kept silent.

Colin adjusted his sitting posture and said lazily, "Old Mr. Bond dared not say so because he was not

as strong as Ethan is now."

When Colin finished speaking, the phone of the Farrells suddenly rang.

After a few seconds, a servant walked into the living room and said, "Old Mr. Farrell, you're wanted on

the phone."

The call was from Blaine, and he tried his best to hold back his anger and said in a bad tone, "Dad, let

Colin do whatever he wants to do! He wants to openly fight Hank now, right? Let him do it! Give him

Farrell Media! No matter how much trouble he and Hank make in the future, you will stay out of it! "

Old Mr. Farrell snapped, "Stop talking nonsense!"

Blaine said, "I am not talking nonsense! You've gone gaga! Do you think Colin is still the brat who was

wet behind the ears? He's fledged now!"

Hearing his words, Old Mr. Farrell realized there must be something wrong, so after a moment of

silence, he asked, "Did anything happen in the company?"

Blaine took a deep breath to calm down and said, "We have thirty executives in total, and twenty of

them had tendered their resignation just now."

When Old Mr. Farrell fell silent, Blaine added, "A servant called me and said that Ethan and his men

surrounded our old mansion. Dad, do you know how people in Cocanel are talking about Ethan now?

They say people don't fight against officials, while officials don't fight against Ethan."

Old Mr. Farrell suddenly felt stifled.

Because he kept silent, Blaine let out a long sigh and said "Dad, you're old."

After answering Blaine's call, Old Mr. Farrell did not go back to the living room but asked York to tell

Colin that he could leave now.

Colin got up, straightened his clothes, and grinned, "York, tell my grandpa I will bring Faye back to visit

him when we have time."

York said, "Yes, Colin."

Ethan was smoking a cigarette while leaning on the hood of his car when Colin and the others came

out of the old mansion of the Farrells.

The bodyguards of the Farrells whose legs had been broken were clenching their teeth in pain at the

gate, but none of them dared to shout in front of Ethan.

Seeing Colin and Abbot, Ethan straightened up, took the cigarette out of his mouth, stubbed it out, and

stepped forward, saying, "I'm glad to see you guys come out alive."

Colin smiled, "Thank you."

Ethan said, "You asked the executives to resign. This trick in Farrell Media HQ has played an important

role."

Colin laughed, "You and Abbot also have worked hard today."

Ethan joked, "Our secret relationship finally can be made public."

When Colin and Ethan were chatting, Abbot interrupted while pointing to the blood on the corner of his

mouth, "Can you two spare a look at me? One of you was bullying the bodyguards, and the other was

playing tricks. I'm the only one who has paid for this, right?"

Hearing his, Colin and Ethan glanced at him at the same time. Seeing the wound on his face, they tried

hard to hold back their laughter.

On the way back to Fennth Community, Colin and Faye were sitting in the back seats with their fingers

entwined.

When she turned her head to look at him, she saw that he was physically and mentally exhausted, so

she said softly, "I'm afraid the next step will be harder."

Colin smiled with his eyes closed, "Yes. When the hardest time comes, I'll send you away to a safe

place and bring you back after dealing with all those dirty things."

Faye pursed her lips in silence, and after about half a minute, she took a deep breath and asked,

"Colin, do you want to send me a ring?"
