Chapter 268 Prelude To The Storm
After Abbot knocked all those men unconscious under Colin's instructions, he silently lit a cigarette
while looking at them lying about in the alley.
Then, he took a long draw on it and said in a rare serious tone, "Colin, it's done."
Colin nodded and threw the pistol to Andy. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
After Andy caught it and had a close glance, he showed a look of disgust.
This kind of gun had been eliminated from the market five years ago.
Colin read his mind, so he said in a deep voice, "I want you to destroy it instead of using it."
When Andy heard this, the disgust on his face lessened, and he nodded, "Yes, Mr. Farrell."
Colin said, "Get in the car to take a break. I need to talk with Mr. Carter alone."
Andy nodded, turned around, and stepped into the car.
After he left, Abbot walked up to Colin with the cigarette in his mouth and said, "Have you made up
your mind?"
Colin teased, "I'd hesitated for a long time, but I made up my mind just now."
Abbot took the cigarette out of his mouth to flick the ashes and chuckled, "Tell me why you suddenly
made up your mind."
Colin put his hands in his pockets and said with a serious face, "They tried to shoot Andy today. What if
they point their guns at Faye in the future?"
Colin wanted to say something more but stopped speaking on second thought.
Abbot instantly understood what he meant, so he said seriously, "Faye is as important as your life."
Colin smiled, "She is more important than my life."
Hearing this, Abbot didn't taunt him again but took out his phone from his pocket with a smile and made
a call.
When the call was answered, Abbot said, "Send seven people over. I'll give you the address later."
After the person on the other end of the phone said something, Abbot replied, "I want seven men who
are good at fighting because this task will be dangerous."
Then, he hung up the phone, put it back in his pocket, looked up at Colin, and said, "I'll lead the attack
for you."
Colin patted his arm and said, "Thanks."
Abbot said, "This is corny. Stop it!"
Seeing Colin smiling at him, he couldn't help but laugh, "I haven't forgotten that you were hurt by a
knife to save my life back then."
Colin raised his eyebrows slightly and teased, " This is corny. Stop it!"
Abbot joked, "F*ck you!"
After Abbot's people came, they carried all the people on the ground of the alley into the vans.
Abbot sternly said, " Colin, go back to meet Faye before you go to the old mansion."
Colin nodded, "I will."
Then, Abbot turned around, waved his hand with his back toward Colin, opened the door of one van,
and sat in the passenger seat.
The four vans blocking the entrance of the alley retreated in unison, then turned around, and left.
Watching them leave, Colin stopped smiling, strode to the car, and got inside.
Andy asked, "Mr. Farrell, where are we going now?"
Colin didn't answer but lowered his head, took out his phone, and dialed Faye's number.
When the call was answered, Colin said first, "Honey, where are you?"
Faye asked, "Are you back?"
Colin responded with a smile, "Yeah."
Faye said, "I was dealing with something outside, but it's done now."
Colin smirked, "Can you go home to meet me?"
Hearing this, Faye paused for a while and said in a low voice, "Twenty minutes."
Colin laughed, "Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Colin looked up and said, "Go back to Fennth Community."
Andy reversed the car, turned the wheel, and said, "Yes, Mr. Farrell."
On the way back to Fennth Community, Colin sent Ethan a message to tell him what had happened.
Ethan instantly replied, "Half an hour later, I'll take my men to guard outside the old mansion of the
Farrells. If you and Abbot don't come out after an hour, we will break in.
Colin said, "Thanks."
Ethan replied, "Don't say such disgusting words anymore."
Colin smiled and closed his eyes to have a nap.
After they arrived at Fennth Community, Colin got out of the car and went home, while Andy stayed in
the car to watch Lance.
As soon as he left, Lance plucked up his courage to speak to Andy, saying, "Judging from Colin's
words, he's going to fall out with the Farrells."
Andy leaned back in the seat while playing a Rubik's cube and said, "Are you always being so
talkative?"
Lance answered, "Yeah!"
Andy said coldly, "Mr. Bond told me the people who talk too much don't live long."
Lance was speechless.
Andy turned the Rubik's cube over in his hands, raised his eyes to look at Lance, and added, "I don't
think you can live a long life."
Lance fell silent.
When he was trying to force a smile, there was a sudden knock on the car window.
Andy and Lance turned their heads at the same time, and they both froze when seeing Faye standing
outside.
Faye knew Lance, so when their eyes met, she frowned.
Lance smiled awkwardly and greeted her through the window, "Hi, Ms. Nash."
Faye nodded slightly, however she didn't ask Lance why he was here but looked at Andy.
After seeing him intentionally avoiding her eyes, she guessed what had happened, straightened up,
and left. When she got home, Colin was sitting on the sofa. See that he was travel-stained but hadn't
taken a shower or changed his clothes, she asked in a calm voice, "Are you going to have an open
break with the Farrells after meeting me at home?"
