Chapter 261 Good Night
Hearing what Faye said, Colin laughed his head off.
His eyes gleamed with charisma as he laughed.
That took Faye's breath away. She didn't realize that her fingers that were tapping on the phone screen
slid down.
When she came to her senses, her fingers had already reached the wristband of Colin's boxer.
Faye's fingertips shrank sharply as her cheeks were burning.
Colin was laughing. Seeing Faye's look, he came to a halt. Then, he arched his eyebrows and said
meaningfully, "Baby."
Faye compressed her lips and uttered, "I gotta grab a shower now."
Colin laughed and said in a low voice, "To cool yourself down?"
Faye looked a little awkward as she said, "You should go to bed now. Good night."
Colin couldn't help laughing and stated, "Don't hang up. It's my fault. I shouldn't have turned you on."
Faye's face changed slightly; she uttered, "Colin."
Colin smiled; he suddenly changed the topic by saying, "You can go to take a shower now. Leave the
mobile phone in the bedroom. I can wait for you." Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
Looking at the flirtatious smile on Colin's face, Faye secretly collected herself before asking, "It's so
late. Are you still not going to sleep?"
Colin replied, "Men and women who are head over heels in love usually talk on the phone all night."
Faye was surprised. "So are you going to be on the phone all night?"
Colin showed a confident look and asked, "So surprised?"
Faye didn't know much about how couples got along, but she did see her friends share screenshots of
them talking with their better halves for the whole night on Facebook at one time.
After giving it a thought, Faye said calmly, "I'll go take a shower and leave my phone on the nightstand.
You're supposed to hit the sack early."
Colin chuckled and answered, "Okay."
Faye got off the bed, placed her cell phone on the nightstand, and put on the bunny slippers. She
walked into the bathroom and changed into a pair of shower shoes.
After adjusting the temperature of the water heater, Faye got undressed and walked under the shower
head.
She felt the warm water running down from her head, and Colin's bewitching smile lingered in her
mind.
Faye took a deep breath. She leaned against the tile wall, and the coldness behind her brought her
sanity back quite a lot.
She finally caught on to why the protagonists on TV tended to take a cold shower when they were
turned on but couldn't do the deed.
Faye changed into her nightdress and went out of the bathroom. Wiping her hair with a towel, she
walked to the nightstand and looked down at her phone.
On her phone screen, she didn't see Colin but the dazzling light on the ceiling.
Faye thought that Colin had already fallen asleep. She perched herself on the edge of the bed and was
about to dry her hair. Out of the blue, she heard Colin's happy, low voice, "Blow-dry your hair before
going to bed."
Faye answered, "I know."
With a flicker on the phone screen, she saw Colin's face on it again.
Faye looked sideways at him and asked, "Don't you sleep?"
Colin answered solemnly, "I can't sleep without you."
Faye paused for a moment but did not reply to him. Then, there came the noise of a working hairdryer.
Colin jokingly looked at Faye's dodging eyes. He knew what she was thinking, but he didn't lay it bare.
After Faye blow-dried her hair, she assumed that Colin would get on with chatting with her for a while.
To her surprise, Colin simply asked her to go to bed.
Faye took a suspicious look at Colin and put her phone back on the nightstand.
When she just shut her eyes, Colin's magnetic voice sounded in her ear, "Good night, baby."
Faye's heart skipped a beat before she opened her mouth, "Good night."
The next second, Colin chuckled.
Faye went to bed at 4 o'clock in the morning. While she was still sleeping soundly, she heard fierce
knocks at the door, followed by Abbot Carter's shout, "Damn it! Those bastards are playing dirty!"
