Chapter 49: CHAP 49 : LOST

* THE NEXT MORNING *

"Good morning..." Fleur yawns, wobbly making her way on the couch at the living room. It was

Saturday, student's most favorite day.

"Where's Fae?" Evalyn asks, eating her morning sandwich. "Is she not sleeping yet??" Fleur rubs her

sleepy eyes. "I'll go and wake her up. Jax went to work already" she exclaims. "Sure" she stretches,

going to the sink to give herself a refreshing morning splash. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Drying her face with a towel, she heard someone running down the stairs. "What's wrong??" she asks,

Evalyn gulping her sandwich down. "She's not in her room!" she alarmed.

"What??" she goes towards the baffled Evalyn, who's bringing out her phone to call her. "Hey wait,

maybe she just went out to jog or something?? Or she went to buy something?" Fleur reassures, the

worried woman calming down.

"Well she does jog, but not outside the mansion!" she puffs, pouting. Fleur sighs. She went to the

kitchen to get her breakfast and went to the living room and sat on the couch, turning the TV on and

switching it to her favorite cartoon.

"Pft, still watching those. What a child" Evalyn snickers. "Hah, well at least I'll be binge watching Sofia

The First, one of the best cartoons" she huffs, preparing herself to watch her favorite show.

"Tarzan is better!" Evalyn blurts out, causing Fleur to titter back at her. Pouting, Evalyn went back to the

kitchen to get another serving of her sandwiches.

A few minutes passed by, she came back to the living room and sat beside the kiddo. Binge watching

together. "Let's watch Barbie later" she pouts.

"Where... am I??" Fae rubs the back of her head, staring at google maps in her phone. She was sure

she was following every direction the map said. But how is she more lost now??

She can't possibly call Evalyn and Fleur as she wants to go back on her own, so they can be proud of

her finally going back without having to use google maps or a paper map. But it seems she failed.

After observing Liam Ghate in the dark a while ago, she stopped as she will be executing her plan

tonight. Sighing, she suddenly saw her beloved.

"Pizza" she licked her lips, forgetting about going back home. She doesn't know how she got there but

boy is she grateful to the map's directions that led her here, to pizza.

-

"Thank you, come again!" the cashier smiled as she nods and leaves, satisfied of the meal she just

gave herself. "Miss Fae??" that familiar voice. She turned around to see Liam staring at her.

He was in his casual outing clothes, with a mask on. He looked at the place she just got out from. "You

ate pizza again??" he silently tittered.

"Hello sir" she greets. "Likewise" he follows. "Sir" she called out. "Yes?" he answered. "I'm lost" she

blurts out, him taking a moment to process what is going on.

Seconds after realizing, turned away from her, trying to hold back his laugh. "Sir are you alright?" she

asks, him coughing and nodding. "Where do want to go?" he asks, finally regaining his composure.

As not wanting to reveal her real address, she made a few taps on her phone and showed him her

phone. "Devine Hotel??" he asked, blinking twice as he turned away again.

Doing his best to hold back his laughter again. 'Does she really have to use google maps??' he

mentally laughed. Again, regaining his composure, looked at her once more.

"Pardon me, miss Fae. And yes, I can take you there" he claimed, Fae finally having not to worry of

spending the next 3 hours finding her way back home.

"Thank you. I can pay for the taxi fee" she suggests. "Alright, I'm counting on you" he smiles under his

mask, patting her head gently then taking it back.

What has gotten into him? He's conflicted of what he's feeling right now. But what he does know, is that

he loves every moment he spends with her.

The duo then finally got a taxi, and drove off to Devine Hotel.

~*~*~*~*~

"Thank you" she says as she takes the change. Closing the door, the taxi then drives off. "You live

here?" Liam asked, looking at the high and tall hotel. "Yes" she lied. She'll have to apologize to her

father later.

"Sorry for the trouble, sir" she bows her head. "No problem. By the way, you know could just have

taken the taxi right??" he asks. "I thought I was just near the hotel, so I didn't take any taxi" she

answers.

"Well, if you need to go back, you could just take the taxi next time. Also, here's my number. Call me

when you need me" he pats her once more, before leaving the scene.

She tilted her head, what's with him and the head pats today? She didn't know and understand why he

kept doing that.
