It was him who made Rebecca be like this now!
He must stay here until Rebecca woke up. He must!
"Justin, can you eat something? If Miss Smith wakes up and sees you collapse, she will feel sorry." Manda cried and advised Justin.
"Really?" Justin asked with a forced smile.
"Yes. Absolutely." Manda nodded affirmatively. "Didn't you see that Miss Smith was always by your side when mom and dad left? You were sad, and so was she."
Justin smiled and his eyes filled with tears. He nodded and said, "Fine, I'll eat."
"That's right."
Time passed bit by bit. Every minute and second was suffering to Adam and Justin because every moment was as long as a century.
Fortunately, Justin listened to Manda and ate something, and then went to the bathroom to wash up. He changed all his clothes with blood, so he didn't look so disheveled and haggard, but Adam looked terrible.
He was punched hard by Justin yesterday. Although the wound on his face was treated, the bruise on his face was still obvious. Besides, he had been drained of so much blood and had stayed with Rebecca all day without eating or drinking. He looked pale and drawn and his eyes were red and swollen. There was not a trace of light in his eyes, and all the stubble on his chin sprang up. Fortunately, when he was unconscious last night, Julia asked someone to change all his clothes with blood and wipe Rebecca's bloodstains on his body.
But now Adam was haggard not because of the clothes, or Rebecca's bloodstains. The liveliness of him completely disappeared, and he was just like a scrapped machine that could no longer be used.
Arthur had never seen Adam like this, let alone others.
Walking into the ICU and looking at Adam, who was sitting in front of the bed and didn't even blink when he came in, Arthur was really heartbroken. In fact, he knew everything about Rebecca, Adam, and Linda for more than a year or two.
He had been sure that Adam would fall in love with Rebecca gradually because although their family backgrounds were very different, they were in common with each other in many other aspects.
Rebecca was a kind and good girl. Adam was kindhearted too, but he was not good at expressing himself.
Adam graduated from the London Business School while Rebecca Smith graduated from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales Paris. Rebecca was as wise as Adam.
Only when people were harmonious in work and life can they appreciate and fall in love with each other, and then cherish and take care of each other.
However, Adam had made a lot of mistakes at first because of his stubborn love for Rebecca. Arthur originally thought that Rebecca loved Adam, so she would forgive Adam as long as he could apologize.
However, Arthur underestimated Rebecca.
Actually, Rebecca was as obstinate as Adam.
Moreover, Rebecca didn't care about honor and wealth at all as she was very capable and she could have them all by herself.
"Don't worry, Rebecca is outstanding and strong. She will pull through." Arthur looked at lifeless Adam and patted gently on his shoulder.
