Mr. President’s 76
Chapter 76
“You must be so dumb to think you are entitled to anything. Those vows I exchanged with you were not from my heart, and the name on the marriage certificate was Linda, not Lily. From how I see it, you were just a stand–in bride,” Oliver said heartlessly.
Tears rolled down Lily’s cheeks. Indeed, her brain was not smart enough to think in that direction.
“But it’s my picture. You are just lying and will never find Linda.”
“I already did,” Oliver said with a smile. “How did I know your real name then? Did you think about that?” Oliver asked with a menacing glare. Lily I was heartbroken.
“But I wanted you.”
Now Randy was getting upset and chipped in. “It was just for the money.”
“Shut up, Randy. It’s your fault. How could you lose track of her?” She asked bitterly. Oliver shook his head.
If not for the promise he made to Linda, he would have dealt with this woman, but that did not mean he was going to let her go just like that. “Fate brought us together, Lily. That is the power of love, and if not for her, you two would rot in prison.” With a bitter smile, he continued. “Do you know what she said after the drug cleared from her system?” He asked. Lily shook her head as Oliver let it out.
“Please don’t kill my sister and don’t send her to prison. You are so lucky that Linda is so pure. That is why you would never be like her.” Lily smiled internally. “Then you should let us go.” She had to fight for her boyfriend now that she lost her chance of ever being with Oliver. But at least her sister gave her the chance to finish what she started.
Meanwhile, she had no idea what Oliver had in store for her. “Well, I will let you go but not until after I have made you pay.”
“But you said that…”
Oliver cut her off, knowing what she wanted to say. “Yes. The fact that I respect her does not mean I would let you go unpunished.” He turned to the security men. “What are you waiting for?” Oliver watched without remorse or pity as they were beaten to a pulp. Then he gave them a higher dose of the drug they gave to his wife and dumped them at Linda’s parents‘ house. He told them that he found Linda but they wouldn’t see her because they weren’t worth it.
The security men did as told, and when Linda’s parents received the message, their hearts sank, and they called Oliver on the phone.
He answered for Linda’s sake. “I’m so disappointed that you lied to cover up such a crime.”
“Lily threatened to take her life and that of her sister if we told you. She already sent Linda away before informing us, and we had no idea where she was to begin our search, which is why we had to dance to her tune,” Susan said seriously. Oliver scoffed.
“Linda will be the one to decide on what to do. It’s her name on the marriage certificate, so we are still married, meaning that she’s mine.”
It dawned on the couple that their second daughter was safe. “Linda? Where is she?” Her father asked. Oliver was adamant.
“I will never tell you.”
A few weeks later, Oliver and Linda dressed in wedding gowns with a few family members and a priest as they exchanged their vows and took beautiful pictures.
She insisted her parents be there, so Oliver granted her wish. This ceremony was held in Nathan and Mercedes‘ mansion, and they doted on Linda, making her the happiest woman on earth.
Gwen was greatly excited, even as she lost her boyfriend. “You should thank your man for me. He held to release my brother from prison after he dealt with the scam for cheating,” she said seriously.
-Linda was lost for words. “You know what, I don’t deserve Oliver, but I guess I’m going to make him happy tonight.”
“What are you talking about?” Gwen asked. Linda whispered something in her ears, and she yelled.
“You’re pregnant?”

Everyone turned in their direction as Gwen covered her mouth. “I’m sorry. It was meant to be a secret.”
Oliver was over the moon but also worried. “Gosh. I have to get the doctor to check on you. All those drugs.”
“Congratulations,” Mercedes and Nathan said. Linda smiled shyly. “Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Legend, and I’m grateful for your taking care of me.”
“Come on, you are my sister–in–law,” Mercedes waved dismissively. Oliver’s nieces flung around him as Linda’s parents asked.
“So, what about school? You have to come home for me to take care of you.”
Knowing that Lily was still with her parents, Oliver refused.
“Thanks, but she’s my wife, and until she completes her education, she will be with my sister. She and her husband would keep her safe.”
Linda did not refuse as Nathan and Mercedes made her happier within the short time she stayed with them.
“I love Mr. and Mrs. Legend. Their kids are amazing, and I could begin learning how to cater for children.” “Okay, but come to us anytime, okay?” Her mother asked, Linda nodded.
Oliver looked around during the picture time for Andrew, but he wasn’t there, so she went to look for him. Right in the garden, he saw Andrew crying. “What’s going on?” He asked. Andrew showed him a video. “I suspected it when she began distancing herself, so I asked my men to watch her. This is what I got.”
“I’m so sorry. In fact, I don’t even know how to comfort you, but did you speak to her?”
“Yes, and guess what?”
“What?” Oliver asked. Andrew smiled bitterly. “She said it’s the devil, and she won’t do it again.”
“So, are you giving her a second chance?”
Andrew stared at him as if he developed horns. “Are you serious? I can never get back with a cheater.”
“True, you shouldn’t,” Gwen said behind him. Andrew smiled at her, and Oliver excused them.
Who knows? This might be just fate, and Oliver felt that these two needed each other after going through the same things.
Oliver took Linda on a magical honeymoon, journeying every weekend to come and visit her after.
Six months down the line, she was heavily pregnant and also graduating from school. Everyone was there for her, but Oliver never allowed Lily
close.
Oliver wanted to take Linda with him, but being in the final month of pregnancy, Mercedes insisted on taking care of her.
Andrew mastered the courage to say something to Gwen during the graduation party in front of everyone.
“Gwen, you already stole my heart, so will you marry me and make it legal?”
Everyone laughed since Gwen and Andrew had been going steady for a while. This was expected. “Of course, I will marry you.”
The two kissed, and everyone was filled with joyful tears. It was rather unfortunate that in the morning of Andrew and Gwen’s wedding, Linda was in labor and so could not attend.
Nevertheless, Andrew and Gwen delayed their honeymoon, rushing to the hospital right after the wedding and being flung with the news.
“It’s a girl.”
Oliver was all over his wife, kissing her on the lips before carrying his baby in his arms. “Finally, I’m also a dad.”
Joyful tears filled his eyes as Andrew announced. “We shall also be parents soon. Gwen is already three months pregnant.” This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Everyone was shocked, and the congratulatory messages flung from all directions. Gwen shyly thanked them, still in her wedding gown,
Oliver’s nieces and nephews were there as Nathan’s first son, Benedict went to hold the baby. “What’s her name? She’s beautiful. I will marry her in the future,”
Everyone laughed as Nathan said, “Sorry champ, she’s your cousin, so no. You can never marry her

“Then I will take good care of her,” he said with determination. Oliver was moved, saying, “She would be very glad, but we already decided to call our first daughter, Ruby Winters.”
“Ruby. Such a beautiful name,” Nathan said as he kissed Mercedes on the forehead. “Are you happy now? Your brother is married and has a daughter.”
Mercedes hugged Nathan and kissed him on the lips. “I am so happy, and it’s all thanks to you.”
Nathan was glad as that was all he wanted. To make his wife the happiest woman on earth.
He whispered in her ears. “Then I guess you are going to be busy every night. You know what I mean.”
Mercedes‘ cheeks reddened as she smiled, whispering back. “In fact, I will satisfy you in better ways than you can imagine.”
Their last daughter, Sandy, was curious to know what her parents were whispering to each other.
“Dad, what did you say to mom? Her cheeks are red,” she said. Everyone laughed, Nathan squatted and kissed her on the cheek.
“Some things are for adults only.” The ward roared with laughter once more, as Ruby’s cries filled the room.
“I guess someone is hungry,” Mercedes said teasingly, making Linda blush. It was time for her first breastfeeding.
As everyone excused her, Oliver rushed to Nathan, asking in a hushed tone. “Nathan, how long will it take before I can have sex again? I miss her already.”
Nathan laughed, making everyone curious as he tapped Oliver on the shoulder. “Be patient, Oliver, just be patient.”
THE END.
