No one knew the right words to say after Edmund’s resolute response. The group went silent for a while. By the time Edmund finished his cigarette, he proposed, “How about we go out for a drink?”

“Do you want to drown your sorrows with alcohol?” Yusuf asked immediately. “Of course not!” Edmund replied. “Okay, then. See you at our usual spot!” Yusuf replied after cackling for a while.

Brayan spat out a mouthful of wine as Edmund’s sudden roar made his heart skip a beat.
