Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 75

Chapter 75

Cynthia, who was not added to the conversation, had no idea that she had become a topic of discussion between them. When she heard her phone ring, she glanced at it, and her eyes widened at Yoel’s message.

Joshua noticed her reaction and quickly grabbed her phone to see the message. However, his expression turned sour when he

read it.

He was infuriated by Yoel’s behavior and vowed to withhold all of his bonuses for the year!

“Are you done reading my messages?” Cynthia asked, aware that Joshua was looking at her phone.

Joshua lightened his grip on the phone, intending to throw it at her. However, he accidentally touched the screen, which took him to the messaging interface. Then, he saw Shirley’s name and the group chat named The Seven Dwarfs.

Shirley’s chat ended with an animated emoji, while The Seven Dwarfs‘ chat was constantly updating with new messages from Little Jerry. Then, Joshua saw Mitchell’s name, whom Cynthia had chatted with only yesterday!

The chat ended with just two words–Good night.

For some inexplicable reason, Joshua suddenly wanted to open Mitchell’s chat and see what they had talked about. Why were they so intimate that they said ‘good night‘ to each other? Did Cynthia say ‘good night‘ to Mitchell, or did Mitchell say it to Cynthia?

As various emotions swirled within him, he tapped on Mitchell’s chat. However, Cynthia snatched the phone back from him. before he could even read the content.

She turned off the screen and glared at him with a hint of displeasure.

“Mr. Neal, it’s one thing to lose your manners and sanity, but it’s another thing to go through someone’s phone without their consent. I don’t recall Grandpa teaching you to behave this way,” Cynthia finished speaking her mind.

“What did you talk to Mitchell about?” Joshua asked coldly, with a hint of accusation in his voice.

“It’s none of your business,” Cynthia replied to him.

“Show me. I have reason to suspect that you have told the Neal Group’s confidential information to him,” Joshua demanded with a grandiose reason, not even knowing why he was so insistent on wanting to know. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.

“You can call the police,” Cynthia said calmly.

Her indifferent attitude provoked Joshua.

“Cynthia!”

“How many times do I have to remind you, calling the police is the most reliable way to solve problems. The police will give you the fairest answer,” Cynthia said calmly.

“Don’t force me to do it myself.”

“Only you could describe ‘robbing others‘ so beautifully,” Cynthia retorted.

“Cynthia!”

“Do you want to fight?” Cynthia questioned.

Joshua’s hands hanging at his sides tightened slightly, and the pressure around him was low. If it were anyone else, they would have been scared off by his aura and dared not to breathe.

He really could not connect with the person in front of him who was so aggressive and different from the gentle person he had known before.

“It’s been hard for you to suppress your true nature and pretend to be gentle these past few years,” he thought sarcastically.

Cynthia responded, “Likewise, you pretended to be affectionate.”

Joshua’s breathing was heavy, and his eyes were extremely dark.

If it were not for his Old Man Neal and his parents being too concerned about Cynthia, he would have definitely left her with no way out after the divorce.

“You should be grateful that Grandpa cares about you. Otherwise, I’ll definitely give you back ten times what you did to Jayleen,” Joshua said harshly, not considering the consequences.

“You should also be grateful that he cares about you. Otherwise, I would have thrown you into the sea to feed the fish by now,

Cynthia retorted.

They entered a staring match with each other.
