While Cynthia was lost in her thoughts, Nadia had already finished washing up and came out. She was still wearing the white dress, and with the heater in the room, she did not seem affected by the cold.
“Hey.” Nadia hopped over with a radiant smile on her face.
Cynthia maintained her composed expression and stared at her. “Tell me, how did you get in?”
“I came in through the front door. You know I know the password to your house, right?” Nadia said naturally.

“Are you mad?” Nadia moved closer and sat beside her. “I’ll make it up to you. You can punish me however you want, okay?”
“How about sending you to the police station?” Cynthia glanced at her from the corner of her eye.
Nadia cleared her throat and scratched her head, saying, “I’m afraid that won’t work.”
“Breaking into someone’s home without permission is illegal. If you do it again, I’ll personally take you to the police station,” Cynthia cautioned her and gave one final warning.
Nadia clung to Cynthia’s arm, smiling mischievously. “I was just trying to help you get back at him. Don’t you want some revenge after the way he treated you?”
Cynthia never dwelled on the past, saying, “It’s in the past. Leave on your own, don’t make me kick you out.”

Cynthia remained silent, glaring at Nadia
Just one look was enough to make Nadia surrender.
She raised her hands in surrender and stuck out her tongue. “Fine, I’m leaving. I’ll leave right now!”
After saying that, she glanced at Joshua and left Cynthia’s home.
As Nadia stepped outside, the rush of cold air made her shiver, and she quickly went back to her car to put on warmer clothes.
Cynthia walked over and locked the door, changing the password while she was at it. Nadia had always been unpredictable and could not be trusted. Even Cynthia could not be sure which of her statements were true or were lies.
“You’ll sleep in a different room tonight, and I’ll have someone come to deal with those things tomorrow.”
“I’m scared,” Joshua said pitifully.
“There’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s all take,” Cynthia reassured him
If he were a five–year–old, she might try to comfort him, but Joshua was seventeen now, and someone with the mindset of a seventeen–year–old should be able to overcome these fears on their own
Joshua held Cynthia’s arm, looking innocent. “Can you sleep with me tonight? I’m scared to be alone.”
As soon as he said that, Cynthia became fully alert. Then, she suppressed her emotions and tried to maintain a calm demeanor as she asked, “Are you really that scared?”
Yes.” Joshua nodded.
Her heart sank little by little.
She was unsure if her guess was correct, but she had a feeling that tonight’s performance was a joint effort between Joshua. and Nadia. At seventeen, he should understand the boundaries between men and women. After she clearly expressed her lack of affection for him and her refusal to marry him, he orchestrated this act
