“Eva!!!! “Everyone screamed, while Raine was fast enough to catch her before she could fall.

“Code blue! Code blue… ” Their words seemed distinct as her eyes became blurry.

“Stay with me, Eva. ” The last words she heard before her eyes closed into total darkness, pulling her into the pit of darkness and darkness.

One hour After.

Raine took her warm hands into his, praying for her safety. The doctors haven’t said anything since they went in with Eva’s dad. He picks back the strand of her hair properly and cups her cheeks cutely.

“When will she open her eyes, Raine? ” Damon asked as he sat down on the chair opposite the hospital mattress…

“I don’t know Damon, they haven’t come outside since her dad and the doctor both went in. ”

“Sandra got expelled but she was outside, at the entrance of this ward. ”NôvelDrama.Org owns this.

“She gotta be kidding me right? What’s she doing here? Is she bent on getting on the man’s bad side forever? Raine uttered with his clenched hands.

“Her mom is with her. I think they want to apologize _”

“What’s the use of apologizing? The deed is done. What’s the essence of crying over spilt milk? She should prepare herself to get out of the country because Eva is in this situation because of her. ” Raine uttered as he stood up.

“Where are you going? Damon asked as he stood up also.

“To the clinic reception. I’m curious about how she’s feeling. Why did she pass out after having some drop of blood from her mouth? ” Raine replied and took his tie. Getting to the entrance, he opens the door gently, with Damon behind him. They both came out of the ward.

Sandra and Mrs Hathaway turn around quickly.

“How is he doing dear? ” Mrs Hathaway asked, looking concerned. Raine cleared his throat.

“She’s fine, she doesn’t want visitors or disturbance for the time being. ” Raine lied, turning in his correct direction when Sandra’s words made him pull a long face.

“Do you hate me because of her? ” Sandra uttered, with a breaking voice.

“Seriously, I thought we talked about this. ” Mrs Hathaway yelled.

“As I said earlier, this place needs to silence Mrs Hathaway. Can you take your daughter away before the patient’s dad decides to do the worst? ” Raine uttered with his eyes getting red. It’s obvious he’s trying to hold himself to saying the worst to the elderly woman that is good enough to his mom.

Damon quietly took his hand and walked him out on that floor.

“I can’t believe I date that devil in human disguise. ” Raine mumbled while Damon chuckled at his words.

“I’m serious. Because it’s funny. When I decided to stay faithful to a girl, she decided to be a pain in the skin. ” Raine expressed his frustration as they finally got to see one of the nurses at the reception.

“Sandra is just obsessed, it’s normal for your ex to obsess. I told you then, don’t play with girls if you aren’t ready. I hope you are free from Sandra’s obsessive attitude. ” Damon talked truthfully.

“She should do more research on breakups if she doesn’t know the meaning. As I said, you broke up with her because she’s toxic, not to my taste. ” He mumbled and took out his phone when it vibrated.

“I missed my sister’s call. ” He mumbled and put back his phone in his pocket.

(General Announcement Speaker: Sandra Hathaway and Mrs Hathaway, if you are on the school premises. Mr Longoria will like to have a conversation with your daughter, which might result in a second chance. See you in the director’s office soon, please don’t keep the man waiting. That came from the director secretary’s voice from the announcement speaker.

In a fast move, Sandra and Mrs Hathaway rush past Damon and Raine at the reception as they walk out of the hospital.

“When I thought she was leaving? Damon grumbled.

“If Eva’s dad wants to give her a second chance, she better use it wisely and not foolishly. ”

“Aren’t you the students with Eva Longoria? ” A nurse’s voice intrudes their conversation.

“Yes, we are. ” Raine nodded with a long face.

“She said she wants to see Raine. ” The nurse uttered and he turned to look at Damon.

“She wants me, Damon. Can you wait here? _”

“Yeah, I can. I will return to class. Damon uttered while Raine nodded, running back to the hospital hallway, which leads to the ward.

Raine opened the door gently but it was cut off when she yelled at him.

“Where did you disappear to? ” She yelled, rolling her eyes at him.

“I’m sorry, I went to the reception. How are you feeling? ” He asked as he sat down beside her, right on the bed.

“I’m fine… Where’s dad? ”

“Still with the doctor, I think… But I think he’s considering forgiving Sandra. ” He revealed, staring at her closely.

“That should be good. I just hope she realizes her mistake. ”

“I was worried when you cough out blood. ” He mumbled, reaching to caress her cheeks with a worried expression on his face.

“My body was rejecting whatever they might have injected into my body. Thanks for the worries. ” She smiled and placed her arms around his shoulder, making her a bit closer than before. It got awkward between them.

(Stuttering ) “I’m sorry_”

“For??? Getting close to me? ” He asked, staring deep into those brown eyes.

(Stuttering) “I can’t get_” A light gasp escaped her lips as she wasn’t expecting this would be his next move.

Finally, getting to settle into his warm breath, she reciprocated and their lips got tangled up in a slow kiss…
