Raine POV

“Nooooo!!!! ” Her voice sounds breaking as she falls from the rooftop…

Lost in everything, I saw her fall from the rooftop, nothing to save her till she fell so hard to the soft mini bed. A breath of relief escaped my lips. A loud long cry tore from her lips as she whimpered. Getting myself together, I rushed to get her up a bit but a loud groan escaped her mouth as whimpered loudly.

“Report to my office, Sandra. ” The director’s voice came from the general intercom.

“Are you okay? ” I asked with concern and worry on my face.

“I’m good… Just wasn’t expecting the fall. ” She replied with a heavy deep breath.

“Thank you for pushing the bed before she fell. ” I appreciate the girl’s effort. She smiled at Eva while Eva smiled back.

“Raine, can you get Eva to the school clinic? ” The school secretary’s voice came behind me and I nodded… I carried her in bridal style and headed to the school clinic.

“Back to your class everyone. ” The female secretary’s voice came out loud.

Author POV…

School Clinic.

Raine dropped Eva on the mattress as he looked around to spot any nurse.

“Looking for someone. Eva asked as she adjusted herself properly. That movement made her groan loudly which diverted Raine’s attention to her.

“My arm, the joint is painful. I think I fractured my arm. ” She uttered as her eyes started to water.

“Hey, hey, it’s gonna be fine. “He uttered gently as his hands found her cheeks, cupping her cheeks gently.

He rose and returned to the main reception of the school clinic.

“I think she fractured her arm. She kept whimpering. ” He uttered with an impatient attitude.

“The nurse assigned to her should have been in the ward with you. Did you walk past any nurse when you were coming here? ” One of the nurses asked.

“Yeah, actually I walked past two nurses. ” He nodded.

“You should go back and check if one of them reported to her ward. ”

“Okay. Thank you. ” He hummed and rushed his way back to the ward. He exhaled heavily when he realized she was being treated.

“How are you feeling? ” He asked as he walked inside the room.

“Just pains, I think it got fractured when Sandra was forcing the push. ” She explained without taking her eyes off what the nurse was doing.

“I was alone on the rooftop, suddenly she attacked me because I was sitting at the edge, I wasn’t expecting much. I kept asking her if I did anything wrong to her, but I got no reasonable response except her yelling she hates me. Just pure hatred— ”

“Did you perhaps get on her bad side?–”

“Even if I happen to get on her bad side, that doesn’t mean she should push me from the rooftop. Like, that’s creepy and inhuman. Eva’s voice got loud without her realizing it, Raine touched her hand calmly before she realized she was getting hot despite being under the air conditioner.

“You are done, right? ” He asked the nurse and she nodded.

“Can you give us some privacy? ” He mumbled and she nodded before carrying the treating tools and walking out of the ward by shutting the door behind her.

“How are you feeling now? ” He asked with his eyes filled with emotions. He sat beside her, on the mattress.

“Better but my arms–”

“Sssshhhhh” he hummed quietly and she managed to return his stares.

“I don’t like the way he’s staring at me, calm down Eva, he just wants to get into your pants…” She told herself and she managed to control her breathing rate.

“You should get going–”

“What if I don’t? ” He interrupted and she arched her brows.

“What do you mean, if you don’t? ” She asked, hoping it was not what was on her mind.

“I want to stay here with you, I’m sorry for not catching you earlier and I will love to make up for that countless times. ”

(She chuckled, again and again) “Catching me earlier. My fall has nothing to–”

“It does, I was scared when I saw you fall like that. I thought I’m gonna lose you. I thought–”

“You are saying too much because you don’t know what to say, Raine. ” She uttered with an eye roll, but that didn’t change his affectionate facial expression towards her.

“You said, you’re gonna make it up to me countless times… And how did you plan on making it up to me? ”

“By doing this first. ”

That being said, he move his lips closer to hers and got it on her lips, without her fucking permission.

Cold chills ran down her body as goosebumps rose on her skin. She didn’t reciprocate the kiss.
