Chapter 42 I'm not a golddigger
Chapter 42 I'm not a golddigger
Kalliyah's POV
I winced and said. "What are you talking about?"
Alex held his hands up as his mother was about to reply. "Mother, why don't we take everything inside
before you start an outburst." His mother closed her mouth and pushed pass us and went in the house.
I turned back to see that his father was staring at me. Alex was blinded to the fact. He led his father in
the living hall with me closely behind him. His father and mother was sitting on the couch that was
exactly in front of the fire place. Alex went to sit at the couch that was at the right of the couch. He
patted the space beside him mentioning for me to sit next to him. when I did, he turned and smile at
which I return.
"Why are you smiling at her? Don't you know what she did?" his mother shouted. I looked at her with
raised brows. I was about to ask her what's the problem but Alex beat me to it.
"Mother. That's not the way you treat someone. Show respect." He said calmly. He placed his hands on
mine.
"You want me to show respect this thing that ruin our marriage." I was shocked at what she was saying
she was mistaken me for my sister. I sighed, I have to deal with this. Mr. Carter, who haven't said
anything since we came in, looked at his wife as to say he was shocked at what she said. "Oh, I knew.
You didn't think I noticed the way you acting. I did, Andrew, when come home you don't give me any of
your attention. You shrug your shoulders and go straight to your office. Of course, I noticed that you
changed for a couple of months. I then made Michael did some research for me and I saw it." His
mother voice was shaky. I knew she was on the verge of tears. I felt Alex tense beside me but he
remained silent. "I saw the pictures with you and this bitch walking out of Doubletree in London, I saw
you." She pointed to her husband. She was letting out her angry. I sense that Alex was furious. "I saw
you holding her hands." Then she started to cry. I felt sorry for her. For all my sister did to these people.
It amazes me, how she managed to ruin everyone's life as she goes around.
"Ms. Carter," I got up and walked up to her. I touched her as a means to comfort her but how she react,
I never expected it, not in a million years. She slapped me across my face. I slowly brought my hands
to my cheeks. It pained, I looked at her not knowing what to say. After trying to comfort for her, she
slapped me. People can be really ungrateful.
"Mother!" Alex jumped up off his chair and came and stand in front of me. He lifted my head up with his
left hand. He looked at where his mother slapped me. "It's red. Are you okay?" he asked me with
concern in his voice. I nod my head and he turned to look at his mother.
"Mother, why did you hit her?" he asked as he looked up at his mother, he was angry. It was obvious.
"Weren't you listening to me? She slept with your father. She made him cheat on me. she flirt with him
and got him into her bed. She ruin our marriage it was perfect before she waltz in flinging her body at
him.
"It wasn't me, Ms. Carter. I've never.."
"No, don't give me bull about it wasn't you. It's you, I have pictures, so whatever you told son to make
him so smitten of you it's going to be revealed. You are not going to continue to destroy my family. No, i
will not have it. I have pictures of you and my husband."
"That's impossible," i stated. "You must have a pictures of my twin sister and not me. I've never being
to London. "
"Oh, so that's what you tell my son. That you're a twin. He should know better. Where is your sister?"
she asked.
"I don't know" I answered, "I haven't seen her in years."
"That's what i taught. You don't know where your sister is because you don't have one. You are nothing
but a lying gold digging hoe, that's all you guys want from my son, money. you couldn't get my husband
so you target my son but sweetheart, it ain't gonna happen. I'm not gonna sit and watch you ruin my
son's life."
I turned to look at Alex which haven't taken his eyes off his mother. He looked lost and confused. i
realize that he's not going to defend me so i have to to do that myself.
"That's not true. I'm not a gold-digger." Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Ms. Carter shrugs her shoulder, "Denial, denial, denial. That's what they all say." I shake my head at
her. "Why are you here then? To take care of your nephew , no need to act. I know he's your son and
the son of my husband. I had my men follow you around. I know that it's your kid. I have pictures,
remember?"
"Let me see them." Alex said. I turned my gaze to him. I never expected him to say that.
"Alrightie," his mother said in a cheer way with a smirk on her face.
