Chapter 13 Don't shout
Chapter 13 Don't shout
I opened my briefcase. I looked at the things in it and smile. I took up my paintbrush and rubbed it on
my skin. My brief case was made specially for my arts. I love painting. It was my favorite hobby growing
up and today I will be following up on it. I haven't painted in five months because my job took all my
time. The only day I got free was Sunday but I'd always end up with leftovers so I had to complete it.
I closed my briefcase; I exit my home and made it to front door. I never really came outside before but
today I will. Henrique went to the store with Mr. Wilson and I was home alone.
I walked until my foot touched the sand. I smiled and take in the fresh air from the sea breeze. I sat on
the sand. I took of my sandals and placed them beside me. I brought my hand to my dyed hair and took
out the rubber band. My hair fell on my shoulder. I opened the briefcase and took out the canvas board.
I set it to stand and took out my paints. I looked around me for something to paint. I my eyes spot a
wonderful house similar to the one I was now living in. But this house was closer to the sea. It was
more like a beach house I looked wonderful. I turned in the direction of the house, I took up my tools
and started to work.
A hour in my painting I started to hear screaming. I looked to far left to see a woman and a man, both
blonde. The man was on top of her tickling her. She giggled and started to scream. Her foot kicked him
in his shin and he dress back. She quickly got up and made her to the water. Before she entered he
grabbed her waist with one of his hand. He brought he in a hug. He started to kiss her neck then she
braced back and kissed him on his lips.
I turned back to my painting and smiled. I wish I had a man like that. There was clear evidence that he
loved her. The way he looked in her eyes then captured her lips with his. I guess some persons where
destine to life of love while other like me a life without love only distress.

I smiled at my finish product it looked good. I walked to the sea and put the paintbrush in the water to
wash out the paint. I made it back to the briefcase. I placed the paints and the brush it there. I held the
finish product in left hand and the briefcase in the right. I walk back to the mansion. As I opened the
front door, I heard the crying of Henrique. I also heard Mr. Carter shouting. I walked to where I heard
the noise. I stopped when I reached the living hall.
I looked at Carter shouting at the gardener. "Where the hell is she?" he asked. I wonder who they were
talking about. He continued shouting I tunred to see the Ms. Wilson she held Henrique in her hand. He
turned his hand and saw me. He started to smile.
"Kally." His baby voice said. A smile immediately came on my face.
"Henry," I smiled and placed my things on the ground and made my way to him. I was then I realize
Carter had stop shouting and now looking at me with anger in his eyes but I ignore it. I reached the
maid and I took Henrique out of her arms without her protesting. She gladly came and smile. I wiped
his tears. I smiled. "What's wrong baby, the shouting upset you?" I asked although I know he wasn't
capable of answering.
"If you were here, he wouldn't be crying." I heard Carter's voice. I turned to face him.
"What are you talking about?"
"Where the hell were you?" he shouted. I felt Henrique flinched in my arms. I shift my gaze to the child © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
in my arms. He looked like he was about to cry again.
"Shh. Don't cry baby." I said to Henrique, I then turned my gaze to his brother. "Stop shouting you are
scaring him and for your information on I was on the beach." I tuned to briefcase, painting, and point.
"See."
Carter turned to look at what I was pointing at. His eyes showed shock when I saw the painting. I guess
he didn't expect a girl like me can paint or maybe can do anything. He walked to where my things
where. He lifted the painting and began examine it with his eyes. He brought it to his noise. That was
weird, I looked at him raised brows and so did the servants.
After a while he spoke. "Did you paint this?" he now looking at me.
I rolled my eyes. "No, the sea did." I said sarcastically.
He cleared his throat and looked me in the eyes. We stared at each other for what it seems like forever
until Henrique sneeze. While looking at the child in my arms I heard a door being open and shut. I
looked up and Carter was no longer there. I brought my gaze back to the child in my arms. I walked to
kitchen and gave Henrique something to eat. After I was finish, we went to my room and I played with
him. He fell asleep and I kissed him on his cheeks. I smiled at my adorable nephew. I love this child. He
wasn't mine but he made me want one for myself. I know I'd be a good mother. All I need is a man to
be a good father too and a husband, but that's just a dream. I have to face reality and know that it's not
going happen any time soon.
