Marrying my high school bully

Clearing off obstacles

Chapter 106

Dexter

Going to pick Lilly should have gotten me excited, but here I was thinking about the mind-blowing love-making session Melissa and I engaged in a few nights ago.

Heaven knew how much I wanted to forget about it after she left me coldly and retired to her room, but I couldn’t. It proved difficult as every reminder of her caused me a fresh hard-on.

Her fruity scent drew out funny feelings within me and reminded me of the similarities with Lorraine’s scent. I couldn’t get over how she got me to touch her and make her come with her subtle touches and loud moans.

I liked how she obeyed my every command. I enjoyed how wet she was for me, and how she matched my hunger for more of my pleasure.

‘Shit!’ I cussed and pressed the brakes.

If I continued to fantasize about her like this, then I’d be sure to meet an accident, because who drove around with a boner? Even the nights of jerking off couldn’t satisfy my hunger for her.

She had officially made me an insatiable man.

But something struck me and it was the feeling of familiarity that surged through me when I drove into her that night. She was just as tight, welcoming and vulnerable as Lorraine. Thrusting into Melissa felt like I was doing the same with Lorraine.

I smacked my head against the steering wheel because I thought myself to be crazy, but I couldn’t deny that Melissa was just like Lorraine.

“What the hell is wrong with me?” I ruffled my hair.

For now, I didn’t have any close friends that I could bear my feelings to apart from Wyatt who had become more of a workaholic after he woke up from his scary coma. Maybe I needed to fuck another woman so that I’d forget about her, but then I knew that I was fooling myself.

I had this particular pattern of falling for someone and forgetting about the rest of the women that existed. Even after Lorraine left, I couldn’t bring myself to have casual sex and Melissa was the only woman who aroused raw emotions within me.

I always wanted to be with her and even though she was avoiding me, I’d find a way to tie her down with me.

My hands reached for her phone and I dialed her number patiently, hoping that she would pick up again. My body flushed in disappointment when the call went straight to voicemail.

I ignited the car and began driving again with a clear head, but I couldn’t stop wondering why Melissa felt comfortable with giving me a cold shoulder. She couldn’t deny that we had the best night of our lives, yet she moved on like she didn’t beg me to fuck her.

Then I remembered finishing inside of her and gasped. Could that be the reason she avoided me? Was she scared of getting pregnant?

For some unknown reason, I wasn’t scared of getting her pregnant. Hell, I wanted to see her get round and chubby with my child growing inside of her. The image brought me satisfaction and the need to bring my imagination into reality overwhelmed me.

But for that to happen, I had to clear up some obstacles.

I called my financial secretary and she picked up in one dial.

“Good morning, Mr Hemmingway. How are you?” She asked with a formal tone.

She was a married woman with kids and a husband who doted on her, so I knew that she wasn’t trying to flirt with me each time she asked about my well-being.

“I’m alright and I hope you’re doing the same.” I cut down the chase as I didn’t have any time to waste. “I need you to get a good amount of shares from Hills Jewelry.”

“How huge?” I could see her typing away on her computer. Which was one reason I liked her. She was efficient.

“Something around forty percent,” I announced and silence ensued.

She couldn’t argue with me because she knew that I wouldn’t listen, so she took a deep breath and said. “Alright, sir. I’ll work on it, but how fast do you want it to be done?”

Right question.

“Before twenty-four hours,” I stated and we rounded up the conversation.

My mind reverted to the reason she gave me for trying to acquire Hills Jewelry. It sounded convincing but something was missing. The story didn’t completely add up and even though I knew that she was embarking on a good business venture, it still felt like she had a personal drive to be the CEO.

I hated being left in the dark and I was going to find out the missing piece, no matter how long it took me.

Thirty minutes later, my car rolled into Emilia’s apartment and a feeling of exasperation settled in the pit of my stomach. I took in deep breaths and chanted some calming words then headed for the door.

I knocked once, then again, but just like the last time, no one came to the door which pissed me off.

I barged in and was greeted by unmistakable voices of people arguing; one that included Emilia and someone else I didn’t give a shit about.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Lilly, who noticed my presence, dropped her toys and dashed towards me. That alone melted my anger and lightened my mood. I took her up in my arms and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

“How are you, my little angel?” I asked with a smile, tucking her ruffled hair behind her ears.

She beamed at me and played with my chin. “I’m.. paiinee” She babbled, giggling uncontrollably as I perked her whole face.

Emilia trotted down to the living room, her scowl disappearing as she saw me with Lilly. “Oh, Dexter, you’re here already. I thought you’d come in the evening.” Her eyes lit up in surprise.

I dropped Lilly but she didn’t let go as she wrapped her arms around my legs. “Unlike you, I care very much about my daughter,” I replied with a clipped tone. “Where’s her bag?” I asked, darting a cursory gaze around.

She sighed in defeat. Did she think I’d back out of my plans?

“I’ll go and get it.” I didn’t bother to ask who came because I didn’t care.

She could leave her life the way she wanted as long as it didn’t affect Lilly in any way. And bringing Lilly to my house meant that I didn’t want Emilia to have access to my apartment any time she wanted.

“And one more thing,”

She halted when she got to the stairs. “What?” She spat.

“I’m not supposed to tell you this but because of Lilly, I will. The keys to my house will be changed because I don’t want you to have access to my house, so make sure you inform me ahead of time before coming to pick up Lilly for the weekend.” I announced and her face turned red with displeasure.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” She seethed but I didn’t react. “How can you do that to me?”

I shrugged and picked up Lilly again as she kept asking me to carry her. “It’s my house. Are you getting her bag or not?”

She hissed and turned away while I let out a relieved sigh. I’d taken care of Emilia’s case. Now I’d be free to go after the woman my body yearned for and even a little bit of my heart.
