“Grandpa is old now, he will clock eight soon and I don’t want to stress him with things like this. I will handle it myself” Mason replied.

“What about your dad?” Alvin asked.

“I said I will handle it myself” Mason replied before stepping down.

Alvin sighed and stepped down with him. They both went inside the building, it was empty, and no one was there.

“Anyone here?” Alvin asked but no one replied.

Mason brought his phone and called that number. It began ringing, the sound was coming from ahead of them.

“I think the person might be over there. Boss, we are not holding any weapons, are you sure we can do this?” Alvin asked but Mason didn’t reply, he was moving forward, following the sound of the ringing phone.

Alvin rolled his eyes and followed behind. If his boss wasn’t scared of death then he was but he had to still follow Mason to make sure he was okay.

Mason kept walking till he saw a door. This was the first door he was seeing in this uncompleted building.

He brought his hands to the door knob but paused for a while. Alvin was holding his breath from behind, he was hoping Mason would let the knob go and leave but Mason suddenly pushed it open and Alvin ducked.

Everywhere suddenly turned silent before Alvin opened his eyes. Mason was in the room but there was no one there, no one but the phone.

Mason picked the phone up and it had his picture without a nose mask as the wallpaper.

STARLIGHT RESTAURANT★

Edna came down from her car, she was dressed in a long coat, sunglasses, and nose masks so some people wouldn’t recognize her and take pictures.

When she entered the restaurant, she met Zach sitting on an empty table and she smiled before walking over.

She took off her nose mask and glasses and the long coat too. Zach immediately stood up.

“Edna you’re here, you look gorgeous” he smiled and helped her draw her chair.

“Thank you” she smiled back and sat down.

A waitress walked to their table with a polite smile on her face. “I see your date is finally here, what would you love to eat or drink?” She asked politely as she passed the menu to them.

“What would you like to drink?” Zach asked Edna.

“Pineapple juice would be fine” Edna replied.

“Then I will have what she’s having” Zach replied and the waitress nodded before leaving.

“So, why did you invite me today?” Zach faced Edna and she bit her lips.

“Are you still seeing Regina?” She asked him.

“Why are you asking me?” When Zach replied, the juice arrived and he thanked the waitress.

“That night when you told me you would end things with her if I agreed to go out with you. Have you ended things with her?” She asked.

“Have you agreed to go out with me?” He replied to her question with his question.

Edna took her juice and sipped from it. Why were things harder than

she had practice, she was supposed to say yes wasn’t she?

“You haven’t decided?” Zach’s look slowly changed to that of disappointment.

“I… I have actually, I want to go out with you and I want you to be my boyfriend” she said immediately and Zach smiled.

“Are you sure? You want to go out with me?” He asked.

“Yes,” Edna nodded.

“Like you really, really wanna go out with me?” He asked again.

“Yes, I do” Edna nodded again and Zach stood up from his chair.

“Do you wanna take a short walk outside? Somewhere where we could be alone?” He asked and she stood up he stretched his hands out to her then she accepted them.

They both stepped out of the restaurant and Zach turned her to face him and pressed his lips on hers to kiss her.

Edna wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back for a short while before pulling away.

“I am ready to give myself to you but you have to end things with Regina first, when you’re no longer seeing her and you’re one hundred percent sure that there’s nothing between you two again then call me” she replied before picking up her sunglasses and walking away with a proud smile on her face.

Mason tiredly rubbed his eyes as he kept working on his monitor. He checked the time, it was almost five which meant he should expect Skyler any minute from now.

Soon someone knocked on his office, he locked up as Skyler walked in with a sad expression on her face.

He understood why she was sad with everything that was happening to her in the media.

He stood up and moved to her then pulled her closer for a tight hug. She wrapped her hands around his waist and hugged him back.

“It will be fine, that’s how stupid the media is,” he said softly and kissed her forehead.

Skyler nodded and he pulled away.

“Are you hungry? Maybe you want to eat and take a short nap in the comfortable room at the back of my office?” He asked.

“I’m not hungry but I want to sleep, if I’m hungry I’ll call you” she muttered.

“Okay then, come” he took her hands and took her to the back of the office then used his password to open the door.

When Skyler wanted to go in, he pulled her back.

“What?”

“You won’t guess what my password is?” He asked and she rolled her eyes.

“I don’t know, what is it?”

“Beautiful” he smiled.

“Same with your phone password, what else did you use on your device?” She twitched her lips.

“My laptop, my iPad, my computers, my heart” he winked and Skyler only chuckled before tapping his cheeks twice.

“Go to work handsome, don’t try to spoil my nap” she muttered and entered the room.

It looked like Mason hadn’t made use of it yet but she didn’t care. All she wants is to fall asleep on this comfortable bed. She yawned and took her shoes off before lying down.

“Who among one of you told Agnes and Hailey that Skyler is pregnant?” Grandpa Mario asked in the dining when everyone was all settling for dinner.
