They finally got to the principal office.

“You can go in, I’ve forgotten what I came here for” Carson replied with a type of smile.

She only gave him a kind of look before going in. After a few minutes, she came out with her locker key and was surprised to see Carson waiting for her.

“I know my way to my locker room,” she told him.

“I know, it’s just that I didn’t get your name. I’m Carson by the way, what about you?” He stared at her with a type of smile.

“Elsa” she gave him a weird look but nodded.

“Well, Elsa, really nice name, what class are you in?” He asked and followed her as she began walking.

“I’m a senior, you?” She replied.

“Same, art or science?” He asked.

“Art” she replied.

“We are destined to be classmates, maybe I should give you a tour around the school soon?” He looked at her and she shrugged.

“If you wish” she gave him a simple smile before leaving.

Carson couldn’t stop smiling, James would hear it from him by following other guys after they ended things.

“First time seeing you smiling at a girl that’s not Gracie, are you into this one now?” Fred wiggled his brows at him.

Carson only pushed Fred off before leaving.

Edna was sitting alone in her office, typing someone on her laptop but suddenly paused on her fingers as she remembered something.

It was the night of that sales party, she remembered what Zach told her. If she wanted to be with him then she should tell him and he would stop seeing Regina.

“You’re not going to stop pacing out are Eddy,” Zita said the moment he stepped in.

Edna only stared at him with a sigh and he dragged a chair to sit beside her.

“Tell me what’s it you’re thinking about Eddy, I know what this look stands for, are you missing someone?” Zita asked with a smile.

Edna stared at him and he smiled even more.

“Fine” Edna sighed before speaking up.

“I talked to Zach at the sales party, he said he still loves me and doesn’t care about Regina and if I feel the same way I should tell him and he would stop seeing her” she finally spoke.

“Hmm, I see, and do you perhaps love Zach or do you want to do it to disgrace Regina?” Zita asked.

“I don’t know Zita, Zach and I have been close friends since high school because he was the only one who never judged me for my flows and I didn’t expect it to pain me this much when he decided to walk away and be with her and trust me, it’s not because I lost to Regina, it’s just because..” she muttered and beat her chest painfully.

“Getting interesting, so how did you feel when he told you he still loves you and is waiting for you?” Zita asked.

Outside the office, Miguel wanted to knock on the door to inform Edna of something but he paused when he heard their conversation.

“I felt really happy, like half of that tightness left my chest but I don’t know what to do. I’ve never had a boyfriend before, I’ve never loved someone, I don’t even know if it’s real or not, what if I mess things up? I don’t even know what to do!!” Edna sighed and rested her face on her table.

“Chillax girl, there’s always a first time for everything. Zach is a really good guy and he would treat you right, you just have to accept it and see how things go” Zita rubbed her shoulders.

“So I should say yes to him?” Edna asked.

“Do you want to? Or do you prefer to stay on your own and watch him be with Regina? It’s all your choice, Edna. Don’t keep a guy waiting for too long” Zita winked at her before standing up and walking towards the door.

Hearing his footsteps, Miguel immediately left the door. He went back to his department and didn’t answer anybody till he got to his chair.

He couldn’t work or think because his mind kept going back to what he heard.

‘What’s all these sudden feelings’ he muttered and held his chest.

It felt like pain and bitterness. Why was he not comfortable in hearing what Edna just said? Does she like that Zach guy? He hated that his mind had to prove to him that Edna would never end up with someone like him.

“Okay Miguel it’s fine, you don’t even like that selfish woman anyways. It’s Zach’s loss if he chose to be with someone like her” he said to himself before nodding.
