Chapter 3382 Terrance's Plot
"Terrance, what's the urgency?" Mark asked as he walked into the room, slightly hunched over, his voice low and rough.
The Damron Family harbored a deep-seated hatred for Matthew, a hatred that ran bone-deep. Matthew had dismantled their secret organization, Echohall Shadows, killed numerous top fighters, and even killed Aurelius himself. Since then, the Damron Family's hidden influence had been reduced to ruins.
Behind Mark was Regis Lullaby, the head of the Lullaby Family.
"The time has come to act," Terrance stated firmly, his words immediately shifting the atmosphere, causing both men to turn serious.
"Why so sudden?" Mark asked, frowning in confusion as he looked at Terrance.
It had only been a few days since Terrance had informed the two families of the plan. Given Terrance's usual methodical approach, it was unusual for him to move so swiftly. Regis shared the same puzzled look, watching Terrance closely.
Terrance exhaled deeply, his tone heavy. "Matthew has returned to Hulwin, and he's already caught wind of our plan."
"What? How did your people let this happen?" Mark shot to his feet, his eyes flaring with anger as he glared at Terrance.
No one knew better than Mark how dangerous Matthew could be. The memory of Matthew storming into Damron Manor alone was still vivid in his mind.
Terrance maintained his calm, though his face was stern as he looked at both of them. "There's no time for blame now. If we miss this opportunity, we won't get another."
Here they were, three of the most powerful family patriarchs, plotting against a single man. The very idea would shock anyone. But that man was Matthew Larson. As much as they despised admitting it, he had outmaneuvered them time and time again, turning seemingly impossible situations in his favor.
"We've already leveraged Clara Birol's influence through Dornia. Dornia's media is pressuring Montiria, and they've issued formal statements demanding an explanation for the Night Vine.
Montiria is a key territory net
Matthew. Once Dornia sends troops under this pretext, his foothold in Montiria will crumble," Terrance explained, his strategy laid out with calculated precision.
Mark, still skeptical, asked, "How can you be sure Dornia will actually send troops? What if Montiria refuses to bend, and Dornia doesn't want to risk an international backlash by invading?"
Terrance shook his head with certainty. "Dornia has been eyeing Montiria's resources for a long time. They won't pass up this chance. Montiria has been weakened by multiple wars in the past, and its military strength is in shambles."
At that, he circled his finger on the map laid out on the table. "Our goal is to isolate and cripple Matthew's influence in Montiria and Eastcliff. We need to hit his businesses hard and ensure he can't recover."
Mark and Regis fell silent,
contemplating the drastic steps
Terrance was proposing. Economic isolation was a dangerous weapon, one that would shake up the balance of power and cause widespread panic among their allies. It would make others question their loyalty and threaten their financialnoveldrama
networks.
"When are you going to stop hesitating?" Terrance snapped, his patience thinning. "If we don't strike now, Matthew will recover, and then he'll come for each of us, one by one. Do you want to wait for that?" After a long pause, Mark finally spoke. "The Damron Family will mobilize its entire network. We'll impose economic sanctions and monopolize Matthew's business interests."
Regis nodded in agreement. "The Lullaby Family will do the same. We'll lock Matthew out of every market we can."
