Chapter 3356 James' Arrival
themselves holding one of the titles. Yet, Mr. Larson achieved both of the titles."
"It's a shame I only learned about Miss Sasha after she's married. Still, she and Mr. Matthew Larson are the perfect match for each other. He's the head of the Summit Warden of Martial League and the Holy Doctor of Cathay. An ordinary person could never imagine Tritus' compliment brought a smile to James' face. "Oh, please, Mr. Tritus. You're too kind. It's fate that brought Sasha and Matthew together. Even if Matthew isn't a big shot, we won't stand in their way as long as Sasha likes him." The two exchanged pleasantries. James failed to notice Helen's darkened expression.
"Matthew used to be humble and respectful when he served us at home. Now he has become the Summit Warden, he becomes full of himself. He doesn't even respect us anymore."
Her mockery made James' smile slip. He tilted his head and whispered, "Why did you bring that up?"
Her face contorted in anger at his implication. "I'm just telling the truth! Can't I speak my mind now?"
Her disregard for the outsiders' opinion and attempt to argue with him publicly embarrassed him.
He turned to Tritus and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Lullaby. I'm caught up in a sudden family matter. I'm afraid I have to go. I'll surely make it up to you someday."
"It's okay, President Cunningham. I also have something to attend to later, so I'll take my leave too. Goodbye."novelbin
Tritus' face was devoid of the sign of displeasure. He bid farewell to James and turned to leave.
When he faced away from the guests, a look of deep resentment twisted his face. Matthew, you should have expected this when you ruined my plan and sabotaged my relationship.
After Tritus left, James' face darkened as he looked at Helen and reprimanded, "He's an outsider! How could you badmouth Matthew? You're embarrassing us!"
She felt wronged by his reprimand
and screamed to tell him so. "How dare you? I've been serving as your wife tirelessly for years! How could you side with an outsider like
Matthew?"
He looked at the screaming woman helplessly and tried to explain, "No! That's not what I meant—"
Yet, she deprived him of the chance. A sneer appeared as she pointed to Clara, whose presence had been forgotten, and shouted, "Do you even know who she is? Sasha has been cheated on, and you're unaware of it, aren't you?"
Her words wiped the helplessness off his face. Urgently, he asked, "What did you say?"
The anxiety on his face made her lips curl into a sardonic smile.
"Now you're worried. If I remember correctly, you were upset when you yelled at me earlier."
He ignored her mockery and stared at her intently, demanding the answer.
"Matthew has been seeing her in Hulwin for who knows how long. I'm unsure whether she's Matthew's only lover or if there are more lovers than we know."
At that, her tone suddenly turned
sorrowful as she lamented, "My poor
Sasha! Who would have known she married a heartless scoundrel?

We've always been generous to him. We provided him with a place to stay and meals. Now he has become influential, he instantly mistreats us! Even Sasha has been missing until now."
