Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3307 Unconcerned About Fundings

At that, Matthew cast another glance at Errol. He understood Errol's difficulties, which was why he handled the situation with leniency.

One of Matthew's goals in coming to Dewsbury was to assess whether the Martial League needed restructuring. From what he'd seen so far, it was clear that the Martial League in the Seraphis province heavily relied on powerful families and various factions. Domestic resources from Cathay simply couldn't be distributed to Seraphis promptly.

"I will remember your teachings, sir," Errol said earnestly, nodding his head.

Before, Errol had to consider the various challenges within the Martial League. He couldn't afford to openly confront the powerful families without being fully prepared. But now that Matthew had arrived, Errol believed Matthew would sort everything out.

"They don't deserve to eat meat!" A loud voice suddenly interrupted, and the large boy from earlier stormed out. "The money comes from our families! Those peasants should be thankful they're even getting potatoes!"

His words sparked a chorus of agreement from the other wealthy children behind him.

"Yeah! Our families are funding this place why should they get anything?"From NôvelDrama.Org.

"If you give them meat, I'll make sure my family stops sending money!"

These children had grown up in luxury, accustomed to having everything handed to them. In their minds, the resources they received were their birthright, and they saw no issue with that. "Sir, we..."

"Sir, we..." The short boy from before looked at the arrogant rich kids, his earlier happiness fading away into a mix of despair and helplessness. What did we do wrong? Why do they have to target us like this? "If you're upset, feel free to go complain to your families," Matthew said, barely sparing a glance at the privileged group. He could see right through their behavior-relying on their family's power to bully the weak.

Under Matthew's withering stare, the rich kids, who had been sticking their necks out moments ago, suddenly quieted down, shrinking back and avoiding eye contact.

"Mr. Hervey, I'll leave this matter to you. The Martial League isn't dependent on their money," Matthew said, turning to Errol before walking away with Shawn.

It seemed that these families had

grown too comfortable, believing that the Martial League couldn't function without their financial contributionis. But money? Matthew had plenty of that. If the families kept pushing their luck, Matthew wouldn't hesitate to turn Dewsbury upside down. He knew that with a single word, business associations from Concordia and Hulwin would flood into Dewsbury to back him. The Martial League had no fear of losing their funding.

Mirren Estate-the ancestral home of the Mirren Family, a grand residence that boasts five

that

courtyards, each housing multiple generations and numerous branches of the family. Inside the study of the family patriarch Glaucus Mirren sat calmly, playing a game of chess by himself. Standing nearby was his only son, Barnaby Mirren-the same large boy from

earlier in the day.

"Father, that man was unbelievably arrogant! He's taking all of our resources and saying that from now on, we have to earn everything ourselves." Barnaby's face was twisted with anger as he recounted the day's events. "Why should those lowlifes be allowed to spend our family's money?"

Glaucus remained silent, his

expression unchanged. He placed a

black chess piece on the board before finally speaking. "Alright, that's enough now. Go have dinner. Starting today, you will train for two hours every evening. Not a single day is to be skipped, and you must come first place in the next ranking evaluation."
