It was lunchtime when Antonio sends her a box of chocolates, with a note telling her that he was waiting to take her lunch. No asking if she would be available, but straight on assuming that she would make time for him.

The lobby was busy with business executives heading out to their lunch appointments. But Antonio stood out as his tall feature and a sleek navy tailored suit made him distinguished himself from the rest of the crowd.

“Good afternoon, beautiful.”

“I’m sorry Mr. Russo, please carry on and I will try to keep up.” She said calmly and started looking around the office space that Antonio was offering for their lease.

“Right, so I was saying to your brother that we offer you a good price for the whole floor rather than half of the office space.”

She smirked at him while she was flipping his proposal, then start browsing on her phone. Colton was busy talking about taking the price down if they decide to take the whole floor. But Antonio turned out to be a very good negotiator where he runs a hard bargain.  

“Mr. Russo.” Amara started her on her words.

“It’s Antonio, please.” He smiled at her sweetly, making her insides warms.

“Antonio, so you’re saying that you will gamble on trying to find another company for the rest of the floor of this overpriced office space, while you can close the deal today with a slightly lower margin?” she asked calmly as she was back to her phone screen and then back to flipping Antonio’s offer.

“… you know the market is not doing very well at the moment, and you can only offer a couple of the big players.” She continued her words while walking and looking out the high ceiling office windows overlooking the busy afternoon traffic.

“… they also have other choices from other office space owners and agents. Think about it? Let’s say twenty-four hours and give us your answer? I know you will decide wisely.” She turned back slowly, dramatically facing both men with a sexy smile on her beautiful face.

Russo finally laughed and patted Colton on his shoulder.

“If I didn’t know better, I’d say you’re keeping her behind for the hard bargain. She’s very good Colton. Ms. Hamilton, twenty-four-hour it is then.” He shook his hand and kissed her hand as he said goodbye moments later.

“Oh, it’s Amara. Let’s keep it casual knowing that you will contact us for the signing.”

The sexy Italian laughed again then dismissed himself, leaving both step-siblings looking around the still vacant office space. 

“Dad will hear about you showing up late for this meeting, and next time don’t talk until I permit you. You’re not running the meeting. What if he didn’t change the price in the next twenty-four hours? This is a very good office space dad has been eyeing this space for weeks.”

Amara didn’t say anything back. She just smiled at him and walked away from him, swaying her hips, strutting in her black seven-inch heels on the very posh Italian marbled floor office space.
