COMPLICATED HUMANS
"I like married women, especially the ones that are as sexy as you, hehe." He replied.
"You don't know who my husband is." Lucinda replied, fastening her footsteps, although the heels were hurting her feet. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
"Is he a god or something?" He asked and tried to move closer to her. Her hair hardened, so she used it to hit him on the face. "Ahhh!" He screamed and stood back, clutching his face. The other guy also attempted to approach her, but this time she used her hair to hit him hard, causing him to fall to the floor, and the other guy ran away in fear. She gritted her teeth, glaring at the guy on the floor as he grunted in pain and stared at her with fear written all over his face. He got up on his feet and started running away from her. Lucinda smiled and turned invisible, flying into the sky.
Lucinda passed through the roof of their house and fell on top of the bed, sighing heavily. "Medusa, are you home!" She yelled.
"Hmm, you are back. After you misused the money to buy a lot of food this morning, why did you spend that much money on food?" Medusa asked as she was walking into the room.
"Humans' lives are very complicated. They have different names for food, and what's a phone? All I know about is that home phone. Is there another type of phone?" Lucinda asked, sitting up on the bed with a sad expression on her face. Medusa walked over to her and sat on the bed, starting to massage her shoulders. "You have a lot to learn, my queen," she said. Lucinda closed her eyes, losing herself in the shoulder massage.
"I can see you are tired after a long day at work. Go and freshen up; I will tell you about the phone and food names when you are back." Medusa assured her letting go of her shoulder. "You are the best, Medusa; I missed you." Lucinda said, blowing kisses at her.
Lucinda entered the bathroom and removed her clothes; she turned on the shower, feeling the cold water on her body; she finished bathing and changed into a pink nightgown; she went to the bedroom, feeling sleepy; she lifted the bed covers and lay on the bed.
"Have you eaten?" Medusa asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Yes, with my boss, the human with magical powers..." Lucinda spoke slowly, closing her eyes. "You have finally met him?!?" Medusa half-yelled.
"Yes, there is a lot of power and aura around him. He reminds me of my husband...can you believe he is so young and handsome? He has these eyes that set him apart from..." Medusa interrupted Lucinda, who was smiling as she explained. "Come out of your dream world. Don't forget the job; you are there to do." Medusa stated
"I didn't forget, don't worry, and I think he is a very dangerous individual. Although he told me a lot of things on my first day, I still don't think he fully trusts me." Lucinda grinned.
"That's why you need to keep your distance from him and study him and find a way to kill him; you don't intend on staying on earth the whole four years, do you?" Medusa questioned. "What if I'm planning to and my husband told me I can take my time as long as I finish what I'm here for." she asked.
"Anyway, a phone is an electronic device, more like a tool used for making calls. When someone is far away and you want to speak to them, you use a mobile phone." Medusa stated.
"It's just like the way me and my husband speak." Lucinda murmured, closing her eyes.
"Yes, that's it, but look here is a food magazine with a device and a lot of food, each with their own name and taste." Medusa said, handing her the magazine. Lucinda took it from her and started going through the pages.
"Take your time to read it and study the naa..." Medusa paused as she realized Lucinda was already sleeping with the magazine on her stomach.
"Awwn, she is trying, my brave Lucinda." Medusa mumbled to herself, then went to the light switch and turned off the light in the room, leaving everything dark with the moonlight reflecting on the curtains; she laid beside Lucinda on the bed and dragged the duvet, sharing it with her as she drifted off to sleep.
It was another beautiful morning, the sun was high in the sky, and Lucinda was already awake and ready to go to work, dressed elegantly in a grey suit with her hair packed in a ponytail. She was sitting on the couch in the living room, eating the noodles she had ordered again. She was starting to love it. She finished eating and drank water. She dropped the empty glass on the table and was about to grab her bag when Medusa hugged her from behind. "What's wrong with you?" Lucinda inquired touching Medusa's hand. Medusa broke from the hug and stared at Lucinda's lipstick. "What's the matter? Did something happen? Why do you look pale?" Lucinda questioned. "....I am just worried, okay? I had a dream about you, and in that dream you and that human were kissing in front of your husband; the view was horrifying." Medusa replied with a scared expression.
Lucinda chuckled. "You are thinking too much." Lucinda responded, grabbing her bag from the couch.
"You are leaving a human life now, while I'm always at home doing nothing, just sitting on the couch watching movies and eating snacks all day. I am a perfect example of what humans call a couch potato." Medusa lamented. "Don't say that you are not useless. You are more like my dictionary and someone that keeps me company, although you are older than me." Lucinda beamed.
"Oh, my queen, anyway, what did you discover from that human? What do you know about him?" Medusa inquired, while Lucinda stood on her feet, adjusting her bag.
