After they got into the car, Madelyn glanced at Natalie. She fell silent before asking, “Will Grandma Athena be okay if we just leave like this?”

Judging by Athena’s attitude toward Yvonne, it was clear that she was utterly disappointed with Elijah.

Andrew pressed his lips together and didn’t respond.

Recalling what happened earlier, Madelyn thought Natalie was dumb after seeing her kneel outside. How could Athena

possibly deal with her when she was already troubled with Easton’s issues?

“Grandma knows what she’s doing. How are you feeling? Are you okay?”

Madelyn nodded. “I’m fine.”

Her injury wasn’t severe, after all. The blood clots discovered in her brain appeared to be critical, but she hadn’t had any issues all these years. It should be fine.

Suddenly remembering something, Madelyn turned toward Andrew and said, “I called the police when I was outside the warehouse, but they never arrived.”

Andrew nodded. In fact, he was already aware of it. Still in Lovitale, Wilson was in charge of cleaning up the mess and rectifying everything involved.

residence.

“Hello?”

Andrew remained silent.

Easton was still her kin, after all. Despite her fury, she hadn’t lost her rationale yet.

Andrew looked at Madelyn, but she turned toward the window instead. She was in no position to intervene in this matter.

Having stirred up so much trouble with Easton before, she didn’t want to trouble Athena anymore. But she was worried that Andrew might misunderstand her.

“Okay, I understand,” Andrew replied, seeing that Madelyn

refused to look at him. He hung up promptly.

Silence enveloped the car. Madelyn suddenly placed her cool hand on top of Andrew’s, and he instantly grabbed it.

“What were you thinking about earlier?”

The scrutiny in Andrew’s gaze vanished, and his gaze turned intense. At the same time, a rush of glee welled up inside him.

Over the years, Easton had leveraged his position to secure numerous deals for Horizon International Group. He would be in deep waters if this were investigated.
