Frankly, Andrew couldn’t be bothered with those people, and nobody cared anyway. But now, he felt a mix of frustration and concern as he watched Madelyn’s anger flare up. He sat beside her and reached out to hold her hand, but she quickly withdrew in anger, which only made him more uneasy. 

“Darling,” Andrew tentatively mumbled, but Madelyn ignored him.

She was beginning to doubt herself. She wondered if Andrew valued her, especially with all the women around him. But if she didn’t mean much to him, why did he rescue her when he knew she was in danger in her previous life?

These questions spun through Madelyn’s thoughts, disrupting her world. She took a deep breath and finally asked, “Is it true what she said?”

Andrew fell silent. Madelyn could hear him breathing more heavily. A cold feeling settled in her heart.

It had been nearly impossible for any woman to approach Andrew for years. Yet tonight, Natalie was in the garden, holding him as she wept. It was obvious that Natalie held a special place in his heart compared to any other woman.

As Andrew remained silent, Madelyn’s voice turned icy. “Are you leaving? Or should I?” 

All she wanted at that moment was solitude.

Andrew felt a chill descend over him as he heard Madelyn’s request. His expression darkened, a mix of emotions crossing his face as he stood and gazed down at her. “You don’t trust me?” 

Madelyn said nothing, closing her eyes to suppress the emptiness in

her heart, Now, she was oddly uncertain why destiny had given her this chance. If it meant she could return and mend things with Andrew, she wondered if staying away might actually be better for

him: 

They both fell silent. The tension thickened in the air. After a long moment, Andrew turned away and strode toward the door with determination. He opened it and slammed it behind him.

The slamming of the door hit Madelyn hard. Already furious, watching Andrew walk away like that brought tears of frustration to her eyes. After all, he had founded Starlight Entertainment for Natalie but

continued to act so unreasonably.

Madelyn regretted everything. Having learned from her past mistakes, she now felt she shouldn’t have tried to repay Andrew with love in this life. Suddenly, she felt a complete loss of faith in love.

However, within moments, the sound of the door unlocking echoed through the room. Madelyn stared blankly as Andrew swung it open. Her tears streamed down her cheeks.

He walked in purposefully, lifted her from the couch, and hugged her, tightly. His warm breath tickled her when he buried his head in her neck. His voice was deep and heavy with emotion. “You heartless woman. Did you really want me to leave?”

He was furious and hurt by her lack of trust.

Yet, Madelyn couldn’t shake the thought of how he had founded Starlight Entertainment for Natalie. He even left her moments ago. She sobbed uncontrollably. Her tearful voice carried unmistakable anger. “You went so far as to start Starlight Entertainment just to make her famous.”Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Andrew held her tighter. “Why don’t you ask why?”

Madelyn fell silent, her tears still flowing, Andrew sighed, then sat with her on his lap. Her face was streaked with tears, her nose

running and her eyes reddening.

Andrew’s heart ached as he gently wiped her tears dry. He was

grateful he had come to his senses the moment he stepped out just now. He couldn’t imagine how hard Madelyn would be crying tonight if he had actually left earlier.

“Grandpa actually founded Starlight Entertainment when he was

aging, so I’ve been managing it,” Andrew clarified.

While it was indeed founded for Natalie, Andrew wasn’t the one who founded it.
