Madelyn clicked on it and saw that it was the video of Elena going Into a room with Easton.

Although the images weren’t clear, anyone familiar with Easton could tell at once that it was him.

In Klago City, Elena had always been known for being a good sister because she had let Madelyn have Andrew despite her feelings for him. Now that she was seen sneaking into a room with another man, it would shatter her pristine image.

In a very short amount of time, there were already more than ten thousand comments under the video.

Had Carrie completely pulled the rug out from under Elena’s feet?

Carrie called again and asked gaily, “Have you seen it?”

Madelyn said, “I thought that you were going to tear Easton apart!”

After all, she had even gotten Easton’s medical records, but Elena was the one to get exposed instead,

Carrie said, “My dear woman, I exposed this for your sake at great risk to myself.”

“What do you mean?” Madelyn frowned when she heard Carrie mention risk.

Carrie said, “He’s part of the Miller family, after all. Do you know that I’ve been warned? I’m being a pretty good friend by publishing this for you, don’t you think?”

Madelyn agreed wholeheartedly! She hadn’t expected the Millers to

threaten Carrie.

Carrie was right. Easton was still a Miller, after all. Even if his bad

reputation had angered the elders of the family, they would not allow

the Miller family name to be sullied.

However, having a report like this was already a pretty good

achievement. At least, it would temporarily drag both Elena and Easton down.

Klago City was currently rife with speculation, and most people were blaming Elena. There was a relentless torrent of abuse and

Madelyn’s phone rang relentlessly.

When she picked up, the first thing she heard was Amelia spitting out words through gritted teeth, “You! It was you, wasn’t it?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Madelyn reacted very coldly

to Amelia.

People said she was magnanimous, after all. They weren’t wrong, were they?

Amelia exploded. “Did you sell that video to the media? I know you hate me, but you should just come at me! She’s done nothing wrong!”

She was incoherent with rage.

Madelyn laughed sarcastically. “I was brought home by you when I was ten, and I only stayed there for less than ten days. I don’t even know where the surveillance room is. How could I be the one to have

sold it?”

She was now 21 years old. It had been 11 years since the Garcias had brought her home.

However, the moment she returned, they sent her off to boarding school.

The reason they had given was that she had skipped a year and was the school’s top student, and they were afraid that it would hurt Elena’s self–esteem. That was why they had consistently ignored how outstanding Madelyn was.

On the other end of the phone, Amelia was speechless with anger.

Madelyn added mockingly, “Your defense of her promiscuity makes you seem more like her biological mother!”

“Y–You ingrate!” Amelia was breathing unevenly with anger.

Madelyn listened to her impassively. She did not care at all.

Amelia herself was already being criticized so much on the internet, but she had still come to argue with Madelyn on Elena’s behalf event though Madelyn was her biological daughter.

How could Madelyn begin to hope for love from a family like that? In her past life, she had kept on hoping for it until she died!

“I hope that your mother–daughter relationship will always be strong!” Madelyn hung up in the face of Amelia’s wrath.

Madelyn knew that Elena was the apple of Amelia’s and Caleb’s eyes, but she just could not understand why. After all, Madelyn was Amelia’s biological daughter!

Not only that, Amelia was the heiress of the Manson family and did not need to treat Elena well to gain favor with Caleb.
