Serena was moved to a private ward in just a few minutes. The hospital’s best doctors hurried over to examine her, but the results were not promising.

Melinda stood outside the ward, struggling to hold back her tears.

Madelyn came over after making all the necessary arrangements. Melinda spoke before she could say anything, “Thank you so much for today.”

“Where’s the child’s father?” Madelyn asked.

Jacob had briefed Andrew on what had happened as they came over.

Andrew had been pulling a long face and finally relaxed a bit upon seeing Madelyn. He turned to Jacob and said, “Fire all the doctors and nurses involved today.”

Jacob was shocked. He instinctively looked at Madelyn, who showed no intention of pleading for them. If Andrew hadn’t said it, she would have called Roger herself. Such medical staff only tarnished the hospital’s reputation.

Seeing no other option, Jacob nodded. “Yes, I’ll handle it now.”
