Love or Die: CEO’ s Daily Dose of Swoon (Cordelia)

Chapter 215

Chapter 215

The classroom fell into a brief moment of confusion.

Lucille was stunned, her brows furrowed as she glanced between Everard and the student who had just stood up. What was going on?

In the midst of her puzzlement, Everard slowly rose to his feet. "Teacher, did you call me?"

Sean, who had stood up in the back, looked completely baffled as he stared at Everard, about to say something when Keen suddenly reached out, pulling him back into his seat with a whisper, "You heard wrong!"

Sean: ?

His desk mate: ?

But they were sure they heard Lucille calling for Sean!

How could they possibly have misheard?

However, Sean didn't dwell on it, speaking up, "So, we've got another Sean in class?"

Keen, trying to concoct a story to cover up, was at a loss for words: ?

Sean continued, "Ah well, don't mind me. It's such a common name, after all!"

Keen: "..

So, this was why Cordelia's boyfriend lied about being Sean to Lucille?

Suppressing a smirk, Keen spoke again, "Listen, this Sean had a run-in with Lucille at lunch. Better not stand up out of turn later."

Sean nodded understandingly, "Cool, thanks for the heads-up, man. You're a good dude."

Keen: "

At the front.

Hearing Keen's "You heard wrong," and assuming he was still groggy, Lucille didn't press further. Instead, she challenged, "Think you're smart? Solve this problem then."

Lucille scribbled a problem on the board, then announced, "Everyone, give this a try. If you solve it, I'll never hassle you again."

"If you can't, it means you need to study harder, understand more, and stop causing trouble in camp!"

After finishing, she pointed at Everard, "You, come up and solve it."

Cordelia: ?????

As Lucille wrote the problem, Cordelia had glanced over it, but by the time it was fully on the board, she was still clueless.

This was the charm of advanced math, always something new to learn.

But now, Cordelia was anxious.

If she couldn't find the solution before Everard went up, what would he do?

She quickly pulled out a piece of scratch paper, trying to calculate. Time was short, and although she understood the problem, Cordelia felt stuck. Lucille urged Everard, "What are you waiting for? Come here!"

Everard: ".

He had no choice but to slowly make his way to the front.

Cordelia scribbled furiously, Keen calculating too, creating a tense atmosphere in the classroom. Lucille paced the room, remarking, "Raise your hand when you're done. Consider this a pop quiz, it'll count towards your participation."

This statement only heightened the tension in the room.

Lucille then stepped out, intending to grab her water bottle from the office.NôvelDrama.Org © content.

In the office.

Upon entering, Lucille saw Cordelia's phone in a drawer.

Waldron remarked, "Lucille, still collecting students' phones? You can't possibly catch them all."

Lucille retorted, "If I see it, it's my business."

Waldron couldn't hold back, "Lucille, enough is enough. Cordelia isn't insignificant; you're heading for trouble."

Lucille remained defiant, "What trouble? I'm following policy. Even if it goes to the school board, I'm in the right."

Waldron revealed the crux, "Come on, drop the grudge. I know you've been working on Batra's Conjecture for years, and you're bitter Cordelia solved it first."

Lucille, exposed, flared up, "Nonsense! That's not true!"

Leaving the office, Lucille's mood darkened further.

He had been close to solving Batra's Conjecture for five years. Just as he was on the verge of a breakthrough, Cordelia solved it using the method he had planned.

Without Cordelia, he would've made a groundbreaking discovery. Instead, his opportunity was stolen.

This fueled Lucille's anger and determination to target her.

Back in the classroom, Cordelia was still deeply engrossed in solving the problem, with no student having cracked it yet.

Lucille, satisfied with the struggle,

re-entered, standing beside Cordelia, "Thought you were a genius, huh? Can't even solve this basic problem? It's just about finding an area, part of the syllabus!"

Cordelia remained silent.

Lucille scoffed, insinuating, "How did you solve Batra's Conjecture if you can't solve this? Didn't steal someone else's work, did you?"

Queenie quickly agreed, adding,

"Exactly. How could a high school

student solve such a complex

problem? Maybe she took credit for

someone else's work, and look got accepted into Superiority College. Desperate much?"

Cordelia stopped writing, her brow furrowed.

She usually ignored such negativity, but Everard, casually observing from the stage, seemed unbothered by the escalating tension.

Every word Lucille said went straight into Sean's ears, making his brows furrow even deeper.

He had noticed Lucille picking on Cordelia since lunchtime today. At first, he thought it might have been his imagination, but now...

Sean lowered his eyelids, hiding the chill in his gaze.

He had held back at lunch, not wanting to make a scene, preferring instead to spend time with the kids. After all, teaching them was actually quite fun.

But now...

Just as that thought crossed his mind, Lucille spoke again, "And you, Sean, trying to defend others when you can't even solve a basic problem yourself. What does that make you?"

That was too much.

Cordelia usually ignored insults thrown her way, but now that Lucille was attacking Sean, she couldn't stay silent.

She put down her pen and slowly lifted her head.
