Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 33

While Stephen lay awake all night, the person he missed slept soundly until dawn.

It wasn’t until Nancy heard the bell ring that she woke up. Seeing Jolie’s phone number, she quickly stood up.

After finishing personal hygiene, Nancy went back out and chatted with her best friend. After a long conversation, Jolie told Nancy that she and her husband were planning to go to the city to start a business.

Previously, Mason had just graduated from university and the economy was difficult so he gave up his dream and went to the mountains to grow tea.

Now that life has become more leisurely, he discussed with his wife the transfer of land to his aunt and used capital to open a small company operating in the construction field.

Jolie saw that her husband had worked hard and sacrificed for their family over the years, so now she wanted to stand by his side and help him fulfill his great ambition.

Her best friend’s call reminded Nancy of that idyllic mountain area. She walked to the desk and raised her hand to caress the delicately engraved fountain pen, with a light lemon yellow stone attached to the pen cap.

This is the gift that Alex gave her before returning to country Y.

Six years ago, while passing by the rapids, Nancy and Jolie accidentally saw Alex fainted on the shore. Then the two girls tried to take him home.

In Nancy’s memory, he was a quite friendly and gentle person, with blue eyes, characteristic blond hair, and a sunny smile.

According to Alex’s introduction, he is an amateur writer who likes to explore strange lands and write about them as well as the lives of the people there.

When he knew Nancy shared his passion, he encouraged her to compose. The fountain pen was the encouragement gift he gave her.

The day Alex left that place, he promised to return, but for many years she saw no sign of her foreign friend anywhere. His phone number and email are no longer working.

However, Nancy always silently thanked him for motivating her. She still hopes that someday they can meet again.

The weekend was the most boring day for Wynn, he just lay on the sofa waiting for Lyle to cook.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

His brother was busy and he couldn’t help, so he felt very guilty, but if he got involved in anything, it would be ruined and in less than three minutes, his brother would kick him out of the kitchen. The things he can do well are sing and dance.

Lyle said that the two brothers only ate at restaurants all week, so on their days off, they had to cook at home to get enough nutrients.

But even if Wynn eats outside, it’s delicious food, so he’s afraid his body will get too much nutrients. However, he knew Lyle appreciated family meals very much.

“Why don’t you find a wife to cook for you?” Wynn dragged himself to the dining table and asked.

“Do you think it’s easy to bring someone else’s daughter home to cook for you?” Lyle replied, his hands still working quickly.

“If you feel that having a wife is difficult, then how can I have a wife?”

“Let’s eat.”

Wynn’s face fell and he walked over to help Lyle carry the food and put it on the table.

There were many things he had to admit that Lyle was very good at, including cooking. Sometimes he feels that living with his brother is better than living with his parents.

After eating, Wynn went into the room to listen to music, and Lyle took his camera and went out.

His work schedule is full all week, and only the quiet time on weekends is reserved for him.

Lyle and Stephen are both people with a true passion for photography, wanting to explore and discover aesthetic beauty through a classical lens.

They like to develop their photos themselves in a dark room. For both of them, that dark, red room is their holy place.

When they take pictures for work, they always use digital cameras, so the shooting speed is much faster, but with film cameras, it’s impossible to produce a photo in five seconds.

This art is like a quiet musical note amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life.

The reed grass fields on the outskirts of the city are still blooming after a long winter.

The wild, pure white flowers in the sunset swaying in the wind entering Lyle’s lens are even more beautiful.

In the middle of the idyllic scene, a girl is sitting on the round concrete culverts, admiring the scenery. Her loose hair fluttered in the afternoon breeze. Pale yellow streaks of sunlight adorned her elegant face.

“Rosalind.” Lyle approached Rosalind and called softly.

“Lyle, where are you going?” She was surprised and asked instead of saying hello.

“I just went out to take pictures.”

After speaking, Lyle walked over and sat next to Rosalind. She looked at him, smiling slightly.

Compared to when he was wearing office clothes, he now looks dusty and wild, true to the temperament of a photographer.

“Peaceful, right? I remember when I was in college, I often came here when I was stressed.” She said in a sad voice.

“Um.” He replied softly.

This place also contains Lyle’s childhood. His grandmother’s small house was located close to this field of reed flowers, but has now been replaced by towering apartment buildings, among them are projects invested by Global Group.

Lyle loves flowers that are not too noble or too beautiful like he loves his peaceful childhood.

In the afternoons, he often chased each other with his friends from poor families in the wildflower fields, immersing themselves in nature and plants.

Rosalind will probably never know that many years ago, there was a guy secretly watching and taking photos of her here.

Lyle was immersed in a peaceful space when suddenly the message notification sound rang out.

He quickly took out his phone to look and saw that the sender was Wynn. Wynn said that he would go out and play, taking advantage of the time when he was not famous to go flying and dancing.
