Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 31

Today, Nancy was in no mood to cook. As soon as she got off the bus, she went straight into the house.

She put her hand in her bag and searched for her key until she found it. As soon as she took it out, she heard footsteps very close. Reflexively, she looked up.

Seeing Dylan approaching, she quickly opened the gate, but her hands were shaking so she couldn’t open it. The keys were so similar that she suddenly didn’t know which key was the right one. Finally, she dropped the keys on the ground.

“You changed the lock on the gate?”

Dylan asked, bending down to pick up the keys. Nancy reached out and grabbed it back, then quickly opened the gate and walked in.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

She had not finished closing the gate when he held it tightly. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t make the gate move any further.

“What do you mean like this?” Nancy asked.

“I won’t bother you at the company, but I’m not sure when going out.” Dylan leisurely replied.

“Mr. President, please stop teasing me, okay? The beauty came into your room and you said you had no feelings for her.” Nancy pouted and let out a sarcastic word.

“Are you jealous?”

“No, why would I be jealous of a stranger? What does it have to do with me?”

“I’m so thirsty. Can’t you invite your boss in for a drink? I worked very hard to create a job for you.”

Dylan’s words made Nancy freeze for a few seconds. She listened but couldn’t understand what he was saying.

Global Group has thousands of people, he just acts like he is taking care of only her.

Wasn’t he just asking for water? There is nothing difficult.

“Come in.”

Nancy said as she turned and walked in. Dylan took the opportunity to follow closely behind her.

Taking the glass of water from his beloved’s hand, he leisurely walked out to the living room, sat on the sofa, and deliberately drank slowly.

She followed and stood next to him, glaring at him, thinking that if she had just poured him a little water, he would have finished it in just one gulp.

After drinking about half of the glass, he leaned back and looked around the house.

“Why don’t you go home yet?” She asked seriously.

“I haven’t finished drinking yet, don’t waste it.”

Nancy got goosebumps when she saw the chairman’s current appearance. At first, she thought the chairman was old, very dignified, and serious, but she didn’t expect that he was a thick-faced guy.

Remember the first day they met, Dylan was not like this. At that time, she still had to speak carefully because he looked very mature and serious.

Knowing clearly that he was using an excuse to stay, she walked over, picked up the glass of water, and drank it all in one gulp.

“Are you indirectly kissing me?” Dylan nodded and looked at her.

“Oh my god, Mr. President, your imagination is so rich. The water is gone, please come home.” She laughed, pointed to the door, and chased him away.

“I’m hungry. ”

“Hungry? If you’re hungry, go eat yourself. What does it have to do with me?”

“I have a stomachache. If I’m too hungry, I won’t be able to stand it.” Dylan’s face grimaced.

“Then go eat quickly, I didn’t cook anything today.”

“Then let’s go eat together.”

After saying that, Dylan quickly jumped off the sofa, grabbed Nancy’s hand, and pulled her away.

She looked at him in bewilderment and couldn’t resist. He turned off the lights himself, then locked the door himself, then went out and locked the gate himself, just acting like this was his house.

Because Nancy didn’t want to go to a luxury place, she offered to eat at a roadside restaurant. When she sat at the table, she boldly looked him straight in the face.

The man sitting across from her was too handsome, taking up all the spotlight in the restaurant. Suddenly, she felt a little proud.

After paying, Dylan didn’t rush to take Nancy home but stopped by the amusement park.

After walking around, he took her to play a game of picking up stuffed animals, one of the games he was very good at.

The middle-aged man’s face was distorted as he looked at the gradually decreasing stuffed animal cabinet.

Nancy stood next to Dylan. Whatever stuffed animal he picked out, she put it in the bag, and soon the big bag was full of stuffed animals.

The children around gathered around, shouting and cheering.

As they were about to leave, Nancy saw Dylan pull out his wallet and give the man money. She smiled slightly, feeling her heart flutter every time she met his eyes.

If she kept following his wishes like this, she was afraid she would fall in love with him. With his position, she knew she couldn’t reach him. She didn’t want to be engulfed by pain again.

“What’s wrong with you?” Dylan saw her suddenly absent-minded so he asked worriedly.

“No problem. Let’s go home.” She shook her head.

“Okay.”

Dylan took Nancy to her house and waited until the gate was locked before driving back to his house. She held the bag of stuffed animals in her arms, feeling slightly sad.

If that person was not the president of Global Group, if he was just an ordinary employee like her, perhaps she would not hesitate to open her heart to receive his love.

The gap in status and family background is too difficult for her to overcome.

Life likes to tease people, those who ask for love don’t get it, and those who avoid it make the other person love them even more deeply.

On the balcony, Rosalind gently caressed a newly bloomed orchid branch. Winter is almost over, but the emptiness and ice in her heart remain forever.

She doesn’t know when Dylan will be able to turn around and see the girl who used her entire youth to diligently follow in his footsteps.

Letting go of the orchid pot, she walked back into the room, her sigh echoing into the quiet night.
