Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 340 What Was Happening Inside

Chapter 340 What Was Happening Inside

Carla walked straight towards Terence's office desk after she stepped in.

Terence immediately stood up from his office chair the moment he heard the familiar footsteps. He

gestured towards the sofa and poured two cups of tea for them.

"So, just go straight to the point and make it quick," Terence spoke as he sat down on the sofa. "I have

a meeting later."

Carla sat down beside him and accepted the cup of tea offered by him. Slowly, she took a sip.

Then she spoke up, "As you wish, I will cut to the chase. I'll be working with the Hua Group.

Unfortunately, I am not that knowledgeable in doing business. I hope you could teach me and give me

some advices."

Terence glanced at her as he sipped his tea before he replied coldly, "You are not going to work here.

How could I give you advices when you're going to be based in HA City?"

A smile spread on Carla's face. "Well, I'm pretty sure that there're going to be projects that will allow us

to cooperate in the coming days. If you teach me well then I can do better and those projects will go

more smoothly. Don't you think so?"

Knowing the AJ Group's reputation, countless businessmen would like to cooperate with them in order

to have profits. If she could gain Terence's support, she would easily get promoted even if she was a

new employee.

With Terrence being an important figure in the AJ Group, why wouldn't she seek help from him? He

was her man, after all.

When she finished her cup, she set it down on her table. She looked at Terence and held his arm,

awaiting his confirmation.

"Let me ask you a question. Am I supporting you or Noah? You know, since both of you are from the

Hua Group, supporting you is actually helping him, right?"

Terence mindlessly tore Carla's hand away from his arm. He tried his best not to look at the clothes she

was wearing today, keeping his composure.

"If this is your only purpose coming here today, there is no bother for you to do so. Remember, I am a

businessman so I will choose anything that will give me profit. Why would I bother with things that give

me no good?"

Carla frowned and chewed her lip. She immediately tackled Terence on the sofa, straddling him, her

hands pressing down beside his shoulders. She gave him a fiery look.

She retorted, "Are you telling me that I will do you no good? If I marry you, the half of the Hua Group

will belong to you. Now, do you still believe that I will bring you no good?"

She didn't rip her sight from his eyes and kept on glaring.

Mixed emotions were present in Terence's eyes. He looked away from Carla and spoke coldly, "I don't

care."

His heart started to do somersaults. It drove his nerves to the edge with Carla sitting on his lap. She

whispered in a charming and seductive tone, "How about me, Terence? Don't you care about me?"

Terence lowered his gaze and noticed that Carla was slowly undoing the buttons of his shirt.

"Oh, is this the real purpose of coming here? Did you decide to come to me, your ex, when your fiance

couldn't satisfy you?"

A teasing smile crept on his lips as those cruel words came out of him.

Carla's face turned red in annoyance. She planned to be patient towards him but she ended up

infuriated by him. She lowered her head to bite his shoulder.

All the buttons on Terence's shirt were undone and Carla placed a hand on his warm chest.

"Noah is just a few years older than me. Did he fail to keep you satisfied every night? Since you'll be

marrying him, it means you're going to live like a widow all throughout your marriage, right?" Terence

kept taunting.

The way he looked at her provoked her. Carla was getting impatient.

The next thing he knew, Carla grabbed his collar and pressed her lips on his. She knew he was making

her angry on purpose. However, Terence didn't kiss her back. Instead, he pulled her away from him.

He frowned at her as he reached out to her waist, intending to pull her down. However, he had never

expected that her legs were wrapped tightly against his torso.

"Come on, Carla, stand up,"

he grunted, trying hard to control himself. He kept dodging the look of desire in Carla's eyes.

When there was all the mess inside the room, Rainer and Nathan stood outside.

They exchanged questioning looks with each other in silence.

Finally Rainer spoke up, "Nathan, do you think they will be reconciled once they have walked out of this

room?" There was uncertainty in his voice.

"I am not so sure but I am certain that it won't be so easy," Nathan replied, rubbing his temple.

"Won't be so easy? After what they have done inside the room?" Rainer asked with a concerned voice

and glanced at the closed door.

"Well, if I were Mr. Terence then I won't be able to forgive her easily. I mean, with what happened, do

you think Mr. Terence could act the same way as he did before? If yes, what would Miss Carla feel?"

Nathan put his hands in his pocket and leaned onto the wall.

"Hm? I don't quite get it. What do you mean?" Rainer asked. He wasn't as knowledgeable as Nathan

when it came to relationships.

"You poor silly boy. Even if I explain it to you, you won't be able to understand." Nathan gave a cold

chuckle.

"Please, don't be so mean. Come on, Nathan. Explain to me. I want to know more about things like

this." Curiosity got the best of Rainer so he begged his brother to explain it to him.

Nathan scratched his temple again and sighed in defeat. He couldn't believe how much of a naive

blockhead his brother could be.

He had no way but to explain, "Miss Carla still believes that Mr. Terence won't leave her. If Mr. Terence

still acts as if nothing happened and still dates her as usual, do you think she will be afraid of losing

him? Of course, she won't.

However, if Mr. Terence doesn't wait for her and manages to live happily without her, what do you think

will happen? If she really loves him, of course she'll be worried and there's a possibility she'll quickly

break off her engagement."

Rainer nodded since it was finally clear to him. It was reasonable and he never even thought about it!

Nathan kept speaking, "Mr. Terence has always hesitated to keep himself away from her because he

didn't have the heart to hurt her. But here, the situation right now makes a great opportunity for him. It's

best to make her worried. The more worried she gets, she'll finally know what she should do next."

"You hit it on the nail, Nathan. But wait, is this what Mr. Terence told you?"

Rainer asked.

His eyes awaited an answer.

Nathan shook his head slightly, "No. This is how I see things right now. As for what is going on in Mr.

Terence's mind, I have no idea at all. You do know how he is kept to himself, right?" All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Nathan said casually, shrugging.

"Oh my," Rainer exclaimed. He couldn't think of anything to say. He didn't expect that all those theories

Nathan just stated were his own reasoning.

Even so, he agreed to what Nathan said. Only Mr. Terence knew what was running inside his mind.

And the silence had filled between the two brothers again as they stayed outside.

Inside the room, Terence and Carla lay panting on the sofa. Both of them were sweaty and Carla lay

down on top of Terence.

It took quite a long time for them to finish this round of love-making activity.

Terence took a deep breath and pulled Carla away from him. He stood up and quickly zipped up his

pants.

"Put on your clothes. You have to leave now," he ordered.

Carla put on her clothes and sat lazily against the sofa. She looked up cozily at Terence. "Let me take a

rest for a while, at the least. I am really exhausted. And I feel sore all over."

When he finally buckled up his belt, he took out a new shirt to put on. Then he turned to her and said

coldly, "Find somewhere else to sleep. This is my office and you already made such a mess."

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry."

Carla glared and huffed at him.

She grabbed her shoes and put them on. All she felt was sore and pain all over her body as she

managed to sit straight on the sofa. Then she took out her mirror from her purse and fixed her make-up

and her hair.

Secretly, she cursed in her heart, 'Men must be tired very much in this love-making activity. I am so

glad I wasn't born one.'

After she finished fixing herself, she stood up and walked towards Terence.

She took the cup from his table and gulped down all the water in it. Then she raised her head to look at

Terence.

She tucked her hair behind her ear before she whispered, "Well, I am leaving now."
