“Red.” Just as Esther was about to say that she didn’t drink, Terence answered on her behalf.

Andrew called for the waiter and ordered red wine. He said to Terence in a flattering tone, “To express my apology, I have ordered the best wine for everyone tonight. Let’s have fun.”

Esther glanced around and also took her glass up, taking a sip.
