Chapter 562 This Is…?

Chapter 562 This Is…?

The real Iris touched Connie's face and mumbled, “This… This is my daughter?”

“Yes, Mom. Aunt found me recently.”

“Her?” The real Iris was in doubt. “She’s not that kind.”

The fake Iris sneered. “That’s right, Sister. I’m not that kind. The reason I’m doing this is because I

needed the money from Dad.”

“Now that your daughter’s back, I’ll have Helen clean up the room and you can visit Dad.”

“Dad, Dad…” The real Iris began repeating words.

She had been in the same house as her father, but she had never once seen him.

Just then, she sprung out of her bed and ran towards the door.

All these years, she thought he and her daughter were dead.

However, she felt strange when she saw Connie. For some reason, she didn’t feel the connection

between a mother and a daughter.

Even so, she was excited to see her father.

The fake Iris let out a mischievous smile from behind.

Meanwhile, the real Iris saw her father in bed and started shaking him. “Dad! Dad…”

He had grown so much older since she had last seen him. All this time, nobody bothered to shave his

beard for him.

When Victor saw his daughter, tears streamed down his cheeks.

That was what Iris and Connie saw when they went downstairs.

“What happened to you, Dad?” The real Iris asked.

Helen appeared at that moment, and informed the fake Iris that George came to visit.

The fake Iris’s expression changed immediately.

“Take her upstairs!” She ordered Helen.

“What about me?” Connie asked.

“You just sit here.”

Connie was nervous, but she followed Iris’s instructions nonetheless.

Some time later, George walked into the living room.

“Oh, Iris is here?” George asked, pretending like he didn’t know anything.

The fake Iris had yet to realize that he had met Clarissa, and was now aware of the truth.

Had she known, George wouldn’t be safe and sound like how he was right now.

“Are you here for my dad?” Iris asked.

“Yes.” NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“Oh,” was Iris’s curt reply.

“Who is this?” George turned to look quizzically at Connie.

“She’s a distant relative,” Iris said. “She’ll be staying with us for a while.”

“I see.” George felt something was off.

But he didn’t say anything, as Iris was there. Plus, Victor didn’t show him the picture, so he couldn’t be

sure.

Even so, George knew what Clarissa looked like.
