“After being caught red-handed, what excuse do you have this time around?” Elion Copper asked with a lot of sarcasm in his tone and Ella felt so insulted in the presence of more than 20 people both old and young including Mr and Mrs Madison because they have been able to acquire 2% shares in the company all thanks to Liza who helped them as a reward for Maya’s assistance to her.

“Why aren’t you defending yourself like you always do?” Elion asked.

“Master Elion, you shouldn’t waste your time on this fool. She’s not worth your time or anger. I’m happy you caught her today yourself so it won’t look like we are the ones cooking up stories about her.” Mrs. Adison explained victoriously.

“Master Elion, you misunderstood everything.”

Ella explained in tears.

“Really? So why don’t you bring forth your useless explanations so as to cover up?”

Liza chipped in like a winner.

“Master Elion, you can ask Secretary Vicky, I pleaded with her to get me a recommendation letter so I can apply for a job which I did on Monday and was asked to come back today for the interview. The email was sent to Secretary Vicky’s phone and during launch time, I took it as an opportunity to go for the interview and I was there for the interview when you came up and started calling me names and insulting me.” Ella explained while crying seriously.

“What exactly do you need money for? I learned you live and work in Master Elion’s Mansion and he has still employed you to work in his company, what exactly do you and that your baboon husband needs money for? Asked Mr. Madison angrily.

“You are right sir, I live and work in Master Elion’s house and company because my husband sold me to master Elion. He hated me because of all the lies you told him about me…” Ella tried explaining but was interrupted by Elion angrily.

“Shut up!”

“They were all lies? What exactly do you need another job for Ella? If you have so much time, there are still menial jobs both at home and in the company here that can best fit you.” Liza asked like a boss lady.

“Miss Liza, how lucky are you to have a family that loves and provides for you and a fiance that loves you and can do anything just to make you happy to a point that even though you aren’t working, you still have everything. Miss, I have none. I have no one that loves me, no one that cares for me. We were operated on two weeks ago yet almost everyday, you are being taken to the hospital for medical follow up while a poor girl like me that has no one is being left to die alone. Why do you think I’m recovering so fast Miss Lizy? That’s because I borrowed $25000 from one of the chefs in your Mansion and have been using it to settle my bills as I go for medical attention and treatment for my recovery process. Do you know if the chef didn’t give me the money, I would have been dead by now? So I have a debt of $25000 to repay and I work in your Mansion and this company for free because I was sold as a slave. Reason why I had to get another job so I can work and repay my debt but this afternoon, you people spoiled everything. Where do you think I’m going to get another job to work and pay my debt?”

Ella was shivering and sobbing violently as she explained her predicaments and everyone remained silent especially Elion who just realised how bad he had treated Ella by not taking her for her medical follow up and had equally misunderstood her again.

Just then, Maya, who can’t let Ella go just like that, suddenly spoke out.

“Are you trying to use a job to cover up your promiscuous ways? Why don’t you just shut up and apologise to Master Elion and Miss Liza.”Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Apologise for what exactly Maya?” Asked Ella and seeing Maya quiet, she continued talking.

“Is it because I’ve been quiet all these years? You humiliated me on my wedding day and made my husband resent me to the point that he had to sell me off as a slave. I never defended myself because I knew that on our first night as husband and wife, he was going to discover all your lies after finding out that I am still a virgin…”

As soon as Elion heard the word virgin, he looked at Ella in disbelief and mockingly and ignoring him, Ella continued.

“But because he believed all your well cooked lies, he never even made any attempts on me. But today, I am ready to prove to everyone here that you and your family are nothing but liars.”

“Really? You want to prove us wrong? Why don’t you go ahead.” Mrs. Madison requested victoriously.

“Find, Maya, let’s go to the hospital for a virginity test.”

Maya laughed out before saying mockingly.

“You want to prove that you are not a slut and instead want to take me to the hospital for a virginity test?”

“I’m going there for myself Maya. You can ask the so-called boyfriend you snatched from me, he made several attempts on me but I never let him touch or kiss me because I had to keep myself preciously for my husband.” Ella explained, still in tears as she fell so wronged and knowing that Ella was just trying to cover up, she happily agreed to it.

Five different shareholders including Elion Copper called their family doctors and when they came, they were told what tests to do and being watched through CCTV footage, they took Ella to the emergency room in the company and did all types of tests on her. Three hours later, they all came in and the first person to give his report was The Madison’s family doctor.

“Master Elion, all the tests are negative ex…”

Everybody burst out laughing and the Madisons and Liza laughed triumphantly while Elion Copper became visibly mad. He had secretly prayed for Ella to be a virgin but hearing this, he was shocked, including Ella. While others were still laughing, the words of the doctor left everyone stunned.

“With all due respect, I am not done yet. Like I said, all the tests are negative except for one that is positive.”

“HIV?” Asked Liza victoriously but with so much charisma and professionalism, the doctor replied to her coldly.

“No ma’am, virginity.”

Ella breathed a sigh of relief while everyone was visibly shocked but the Madisons didn’t want to believe but the words of the other doctors left them dumbfounded.

“It’s true Mr/Mrs Madison.”

Left with no choice, Elion’s personal doctor who had been bribed by Liza before the tests were done through a text message knew that if he changed the results, he will get caught so he had no choice than to say the truth which left Liza very furious and she looked at him with murderous eyes.

“Master Elion, my colleagues are right. All the results for STDs and the history of STDs are all negative and yes, she’s still a virgin.

Cold sweat broke out of Elion Copper’s forehead as he looked at Ella with the most passionate and tender eyes that shot deep into Ella’s heart making her heart skip a bit for no man had ever looked at her with such passion.
