This was bliss, Serena was sure… laying here beside him without a care in the world.

They had gone four more rounds through the night until they were both exhausted and had collapsed into a heap of skin and hot, throbbing flesh.

Serena was sure she was in love with him, how? She had no idea but it would do no good to say such to him even when she had wanted to.

She stretched leisurely and stopped cold when she could not feel him beside her, her eyes snapped open and true enough, he was gone.

Serena bolted from the bed in panic and then relaxed when she perceived the aroma of brewing coffee, he was still around somewhere and she was feeling the urge to discuss their escapades of the previous night with him.

She contemplated going down naked just to see what his reaction would be but changed her mind at the last minute, she did not want to seem too desperate for his attention or love and so she put on a bum short and short tube and made her down the stairs.

“Good morning” Serena called out brightly

Damon turned and observed her descend like a flaming angel, his heart doing a double flip. His face was grim and his mind wandering to what had happened the previous night. He was shocked that he had fallen asleep beside her and had slept quite well, he did not want to feel relaxed around her or anyone.

Damon, heir to the Sangre and billionaire was a dangerous man and it would do no good to his rep if his weakness was a green eyed, red haired girl. He wanted to remind himself that he only wanted her for sex and nothing more, she merely fascinated him and soon he was going to get over her charms. Even as he thought this, trying to reassure himself, when he looked at her, he knew he was in serious trouble.

“What’s wrong?” Serena asked, stopping in front of him.

He was looking at her at the moment like he wanted nothing to do with her and he looked extremely furious.

“Nothing” he growled and turned back to the coffee he was making.

“Good morning to you too, Serena. How was your night? I enjoyed every bit of mine.” Serena said in a singsong voice, staring holes into his back.

“Is that what you wanted to hear from me?” Damon asked still backing her.

“Well, not exactly but I was expecting some sort of reaction from you and not this stone cold detachment.”

“Some sort of reaction? We had sex, Serena and I know it was your first time but get over it. It was sex and nothing more”

Serena felt like someone had just slapped her then proceeded to douse her with cold water, she could hardly believe her ears, her stomach churned and twisted.

“Of course” she muttered and walked away, up the stairs and back to the bedroom she had just come out from, willing all of these to be a nightmare, it wasn’t.

“Just sex!” She huffed and slammed the door of the bedroom.

How dare he! How dare he tell her that to her face when she had just had the most amazing night of her entire life.

“Just sex?” Serena screamed again, slamming her hand into the wall.

“Ouch!” She wailed, clutching her bruised knuckles.

Arrogant bastard, what the hell was I even expecting from him, a hug? A kiss? A thank you for deeming me worthy to have your virginity?, Serena thought as she discarded her tube and bum shorts and headed for the bathroom.

She was angry…scratch that…Serena was furious

And as the water eased over her body, she decided she wasn’t going to let whatever was wrong with Damon get to her, today was a brand new day and a step into womanhood in her life and she was going to allow that asshole ruin it for her.

“Yes father, I know what my duties are and I will get around to them.” Damon said into the receiver.

His father was getting worked up over the fact that they had still not discovered who and who was responsible for the drugs that went missing and although they were sure of the involvement of Serena’s father, they still needed to know who had the drugs.

“What have you been doing since we gave you the assignment, Damon.” His father booming voice came through.

“Things” Damon said dryly, imagining Serena’s naked body and full breasts.

“Things? You had better live up to your name and get a move on before the job is assigned to someone else.” His father said and then the line clicked.

The first step on Damon’s list was to get to Serena’s father before the others did, so they did not silence him before he is able to tell him where the drugs were and the people involved in the drug bust.

He had plans to visit her family later today and get this deal over once and for all but before then he was going to take a shower and eat.

Damon heard the song again immediately he walked into the room, the song his mother always sang to him before she began fucking him.

His palm went ice cold until he realized it was Serena singing it, she was in the bathroom taking a bath.

Damon divested himself of his jeans and proceeded to join her.

“What are you doing here?” Serena asked, her eyes traveling over his naked body.

“I thought you might want some company.” He said smiling.

“You thought wrong, Damon and I am already done taking my bath so you can have the bathroom all to yourself.” She said climbing out of the bathtub.

“Cmon Serena, are we really going to do this?”

“Do what? I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.”

Damon let her go, watching as she walked naked over to where her phone lay and picked it up.

“Hello…yes this is Serena…What?!… he is missing?… how?, is mother alright?. Oh my God… I will be there soon.” She said dropping her phone and turning around, tears in her eyes.

“What’s the matter Serena?” Damon asked coming out to meet her.

“My father… he is missing. Some unknown people stormed the house last night and took him away, they have no idea where he is and… I need to go there right away” she stammered

“I will go with you, let me take a bath” Damon reassured her.

“I hope he is alright, what am I going to do?” Serena asked no one in particular.

Damon knew what was going on and he knew that they had just beaten him to the only person who could tell him where his drugs were.

Damn!
