Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 1441

Wilbur shook his head with a smile.

Jaden, Connor, and the others were definitely rude, but it was just a common problem among wealthy people. They looked down on others wherever they went.

However, Wilbur did not harbor any hatred towards any of them, nor would he cause trouble for them because of that.

Wilbur put down his coffee and stood up, helping Lindon up and saying, "We're all from the same country. Even if there were some conflicts, I won't hold any grudges. You don't have to worry about it."

Wilbur knew that that group would probably feel uneasy for the rest of their lives if he had not said that.

Sure enough, after hearing what he said, Lindon and the others breathed clear sighs of relief.

Lindon said with some embarrassment, "We were just too ignorant. I'm truly ashamed. Thank you for your generosity, sir. If you have any orders for us in the future, our family will obey you without any hesitation."noveldrama

"My family as well," Carlson said in a hurry.

Wilbur smiled and said, "Alright, alright. Please, take a seat. There's no need to keep standing."

Wilbur motioned for them to sit down with him.

Naturally, Lindon and the others did not dare to sit down at all.

Wilbur smiled and said, "We're all compatriots here, so there's no need to be so formal."

When he heard that, Lindon gritted his teeth and said, "Then we'll take you up on that."

Lindon glanced at Carlson before he sat down beside Wilbur.

When Carlson said that, he clenched his teeth and sat down as well. However, the two of them only dared to sit on the edge of their chairs and were sitting completely upright.

Elise, Connor, and Jaden were younger and had no place in this conversation. So, they obediently stood by the side and sneakily glanced at Wilbur.

Elise in particular was looking at Wilbur with a gaze that almost overflowed with affection.

After chatting with the two of them for a while and seeing how uncomfortable they seemed, Wilbur smiled and said, "Alright, I'm a bit tired and want to rest. You should go and rest too."

They nodded repeatedly before they bowed again and left.

The next two days, the whole of Morburn was boiling with rumors of sea monsters and mysterious people battling them, with various versions of the rumors flying around.

Meanwhile, Wilbur secluded himself, waiting for Charlie's passport to be processed.

However, on the second night, Wilbur received a call from an unknown number. After he answered, he heard Elise's voice.

"Mister Penn, how are you?"

"Elise, how did you get my number?" Wilbur was surprised.

"Didn't you lend me your phone to call my father?" Elise asked weakly.

"Oh." Wilbur had a moment of realization before he said, "Do you need something?"

The other side was silent for a long time before Elise said meekly, "Mr. Penn, could I invite you out for dinner?"

Wilbur had wanted to refuse initially, but he felt like Elise was a good person. Wilbur thought about it for a moment before he agreed.

"Alright then, eight o'clock tonight. I'll be waiting for you at the Ocean Blue Room

at Crown International Hotel's restaurant," Elise said excitedly.

Wilbur smiled and said, "Elise, we're about the same age. There's no need for you to be so formal."

"Really?"

"There's nothing wrong with it."

"Alright, then I'll just call you Wilbur."

"Sure, that's not a problem."

"Okay, Wilbur, I'll be waiting for you." Elise hung up the phone with a joyful look.

Wilbur smiled slightly as he stood at the top floor of the castle and looked out into the vast sea.

In the evening, Wilbur told Charlie and Hans that he was going out for a stroll.

Hans immediately arranged for a vehicle to drive Wilbur to the hotel.

Wilbur arrived at the Ocean Blue Room and pushed the door open to enter.

He saw Elise wearing a blue evening gown that showcased her perfect figure. A string of navy-blue pearls adorned her long, fair neck.
