Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 1434

Hans instantly looked awkward, but he did not dare to say much. He awkwardly bowed and looked at Wilbur.

Wilbur chuckled and walked outside.

Jaden asked at that moment, "Wilbur, aren't you too impolite to Earl Hans?"noveldrama

It looked like Wilbur had no respect for Earl Hans as if he was the master and Hans the servant.

They felt infinitely grateful to Hans, so they had to point it out.

It was also because they wanted to please Hans.

Jaden's father, Carlson, also said, "Wilbur, just because Earl Hans is willing to meet you, it's not a reason to be so prideful. You have to be humble."

Lindon and Connor also frowned at Wilbur. Even Elise looked confused.

Wilbur shook his head and laughed, then said, "Thank Earl Hans properly. Goodbye."

"Of course we will, and we brought a billion dollars as a token of appreciation," said Carlson arrogantly.

Wilbur chuckled.

Lindon said, "Earl Hans, please accept it."

He felt like he must give Hans the money because he helped them. Otherwise, they would not be able to leave Morburn.

Hans was sweating bullets. He occasionally snuck glances at Wilbur, and he looked nervous and awkward.

"Earl Hans, what's going on?" asked Lindon carefully.

Wilbur smiled and did not reply.

Hans sighed and bowed at Lindon and the others. He said, "I'm sorry."

Lindon and the others were dumbfounded. They wondered why the Earl apologized to them.

Hans said when everyone was dumbfounded, "Connor Adams and Jaden Horts were in jail because it's a scheme between me and Governor Wynna. We wanted to scam you off of your money. That gold mine was actually the bait. It was all because of our greed."

What he said stunned Lindon.

He wondered what was going on.

They noticed that Hans seemed serious. The looks on their faces started to freeze and turn angry.

They felt that if that was the case, then Connor and Jaden were targeted victims from the start.

Being in jail was also part of their plan. Everything was to scam them for their money.

However, they still foolishly came to thank Hans with a billion dollars. They were played for fools.

They wondered why Hans admitted the truth.

Hans noticed that Lindon and the others were dumbfounded. He looked embarrassed and said, "After being taught a lesson by Mister Wilbur, we realized our wrongdoings, so we hurriedly released Connor and Jaden. We also returned all the funds they invested. Please forgive my stupid mistake."

Lindon, Carlson, Connor, Jaden, and Elise were stunned in place.

They wondered what Hans meant by that. 'How did Wilbur teach them a lesson? What right does he have to teach them a lesson? What is Wilbur's identity? How did he teach them a lesson? I can't believe someone like Earl Hans admitted his crimes without any regard for his dignity. How did he do that?' they wondered.

They dumbfoundingly looked at Wilbur after a long while, and they all looked shocked.

Charlie looked at his son and said coldly, "You useless brat." It made Hans flinch, and he almost fell over.

He knew that he meant nothing to his father.

His father despised his greed and twisted hobby the most.

Wilbur looked at Lindon and the others, then smiled and said, "Your problem has been resolved, so go home. I'm going back too."

Wilbur walked out in strides, leaving Lindon and the others confused. Elise then called out to Wilbur, "Stop! Tell me what the hell is going on!"

Charlie instantly activated his spiritual energy and overwhelmed them.
