Chapter 1425
Travis immediately went to make arrangements, while Hans leisurely sipped his coffee.
As time passed, Governor Wynna was the first to arrive, taking a seat beside Hans. Before long, Morris also arrived, and the three of them sat facing each other while Travis served up top-quality coffee.
Hans invited everyone to have a drink before saying, "Morris, you once mentioned to me to keep an eye out for a Dasha man named Wilbur."
"Indeed," Morris replied, sitting up straight and nodding slowly.
Hans smiled and continued, "Well, news has arrived. He will be visiting me tomorrow, and let me tell you, he's a Sanctuary level powerhouse."noveldrama
Hans emphasized the word 'visit,' implying more than just a casual meeting. As Morris heard the words 'Sanctuary level powerhouse,' a faint change flickered across his otherwise indifferent face.
"Wynna," Hans continued, "this Wilbur is here to see Lou. You're aware of Lou's current situation. For our mutual interests, I suggest we join forces and deal with this Wilbur nuisance as soon as possible."
"Earl Hans, you're also a Sanctuary-level powerhouse. Do you really need our assistance?" Wynna asked.
Hans smiled, "It never hurts to be fully prepared when dealing with a Sanctuary- level expert, don't you agree?"
"I want him alive. A living Sanctuary is far more valuable than a dead one," Morris said coldly, finally showing a hint of emotion on his face.
Hans and Wynna exchanged a glance, both furrowing their brows.
"Why alive?" Hans inquired.
"That's classified information from our bureau," Morris retorted icily.
Hans nodded. "Fair enough, as long as you ensure he never resurfaces."
"Don't worry, we have plenty of research waiting for such high-level operatives to experiment on. They're the most precious materials; how could they possibly return to the mortal realm?" Morris chuckled darkly.
"What about you, Governor?" Hans turned to Wynna.
Wynna said slowly, "Since you've come looking for trouble, naturally, we must deal with it."
"Very well, it seems we've reached an agreement then. So, what's the plan for tomorrow?" Hans smiled.
Wynna replied, "Tomorrow, my guards will enter in advance, equipped with weapons specifically designed for Sanctuary-level experts."
"Excellent." Hans looked at Morris and asked, "And what about you?"
Morris spoke in a chilling tone, "I will bring Theo with me. We will strike together. Any further questions?"
"Of course not." Hans smiled, "With Theo's mental control, the two of us in the Sanctuary level, plus the Governor's guards, it seems there's hardly any reason for failure, isn't it?"
All three of them laughed simultaneously.
The next morning.
Lindon and Carlson arrived at Earl Hans's mansion early in the morning, only to be informed that the Earl would not be seeing any visitors today and they were asked to leave.
Both of them were dumbfounded. Their son was still detained, who knew what suffering he was enduring? As parents, they could hardly bear even a single day.
However, they did not dare to force their way in and could only fret outside the gate.
At that moment, a taxi pulled up and stopped at the mansion's gate. Wilbur got out of the car.
As soon as he got out, Wilbur glanced at Lindon and the others. Not seeing Elise, he didn't bother with them and headed straight into the mansion.
This scene left Lindon and Carlson bewildered.
After a moment, Carlson shouted, "Kid, what are you doing? Why are you rushing here?"
"What am I doing? Do I need to explain it to you?" Wilbur retorted impatiently.
Carlson snorted. "Earl Hans isn't seeing visitors today. You'd better leave now. You shouldn't be here."
What do you think?
