Chapter 66 You Really Want to Pick a Fight, Huht
Nathael chuckled, then he gently pinched her chin and passionately kissed her lips.
“You really want to pick a fight, huh?”
Maggie was taken aback. Before she could swallow the egg in her mouth, he had taken half of it. Her cheeks flushed red.
“H–Hey!”
Maggie never anticipated such a bold move from him. She felt like she was melting; even her hand holding the plate began to tremble as she suddenly felt weak.
Nathael had no intention to let her get away. He took the plate from her hand and placed it on the dining table. Without waiting for Maggie’s response, he lifted her up, pushed her against the table, and kissed her deeply.
Maggie’s breath quickened. She instinctively tried to pull back, but Nathael drew closer, leaving her with
no escape.
Perhaps sensing her tension, Nathael softened his approach, causing Maggie to relax compared to her earlier stiffness in the car.
As she gazed at his handsome face inches away from hers, her eyes involuntarily shut, and she reciprocated.
After a moment, Maggie’s phone abruptly rang, shattering the silence. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Maggie slowly opened her dazed eyes, feeling wobbly.
Only then did Nathael regain some composure. He reluctantly kissed her neck and huskily murmured, “Tastes good.”
Maggie’s eyelashes fluttered. Her eyes were hazy, and her lips were tingling and numb.
Blushing, she pushed him away. After jumping off the table hastily, she straightened her disheveled clothes and walked to the living room while casually answering the phone. “Hello.”
As she spoke, Maggie noticed her hoarse voice.
“Maggie, how did your conversation with Leo go? When are you coming back? Do you need me to pick you up?”
The phone number belonged to Olivia, but Joseph was on the line.
Glancing at the wall clock, Maggie/saw it was ten o’clock at night. It was already quite late.
With Sierra’s fiasco, the Camerons were likely restless and awaiting updates, hence the urgency.
“No need. I’ll be back soon. Maggie firmly declined.
Without waiting for Joseph to respond, she ended the call.

kiss had left a hint of crimson on his usually pale lips, adding to his allure.
“You’re leaving?” Nathael’s gaze locked onto her, his voice deep..
“Yes. Maggie forced herself to look away, feeling as if she was engaged in a forbidden affair.
In that moment, she felt like a scoundrel who was fleeing the scene.
Shaking her head, Maggie pushed away those unsettling thoughts. This was Nathael, the man who had spanked her earlier!
Besides, he had stolen her poached egg.
With that realization, any lingering reluctance in Maggie’s heart vanished, and she turned to head to the bedroom to change.
Upon her return, Nathael had also tidied up. Today, he opted for a more casual look, foregoing a tie and leaving a few buttons on his shirt collar undone. He exuded a more primal aura compared to his usual cool demeanor.
“I’ll drive you,” Nathael stated in a low voice. He behaved as if the earlier passion had been stored away and nothing had transpired.
Maggie accepted without protest, but as she settled into the car and observed the familiar surroundings, a dull ache from the spanking carlier resurfaced. She instantly regretted agreeing to his offer.
Thirty minutes later, the car pulled up in front of the Camerons‘ residence.
Maggie remained silent. She was about to exit the car when Nathael pulled her back. He gazed at her with. dark eyes and remarked, “Ms. Adam, if you find me attractive, just say so. Why go through the trouble of seeking replacements?”
Realizing he was referring to her attempt to find an escort that looked like him at Crimson Grove, Maggie blushed as she retorted, “Nathael, have some decency!”
With that, she stepped out of the car and walked away with a sense of urgency.
Nathael pursed his lips. He only relaxed his expression once the woman had vanished into the night. In a deep voice, he inquired, “How did the investigation into the Camerons go?”
Alex responded, “I did a thorough investigation this time. I found out that the Camerons are not treating Ms. Adam the way we thought. Instead….
Pausing briefly, Alex continued, “They seem to be putting on a show and using her.”
Nathael furrowed his brow, lost in thought. After a moment, he instructed, “Continue the investigation.”
Upon arriving at the Camerons‘ residence, Maggie encountered Joseph waiting for her on the ground
floor.
In the dim light, Joseph stood by the window as before. Spotting Maggie’s return, he swiftly moved to

Maggie chuckled coldly and replied, “That’s none of your business.”
Joseph was taken aback by her response, and his expression fell. “Maggiel”
“Mr. Cameron, I don’t wish to repeat myself. We are no longer involved, and my affairs are none of your concern, Maggie stated, attempting to leave.
Frustrated by her dismissal, Joseph grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
As he drew closer, he noticed her faintly swollen lips and the suggestive red mark on her neck. After a moment of shock, his eyes narrowed, a hint of anger flickering within.
“Who did you meet tonight? Who brought you back? Did you sleep with someone?” Joseph’s voice grew heavier, tinged with frustration.
Annoyed and unable to break free, Maggie responded calmly, “Joseph, what are you doing? Act like a man and stop harassing me.”
Joseph laughed bitterly, almost sounding deranged. “Maggie, get off your high horse! You wouldn’t let me touch you when we were together, and now you’re sleeping around!”
Unfazed, Maggie laughed boldly. “Thanks to you, I’m fine with this. And, Joseph, do you know what this is? It’s a case of sour grapes!”
Before Joseph could reply, their argument attracted the attention of Ronald and Olivia.
“Is Maggie back? What’s going on with you two? Let’s talk inside.”
As they approached, they witnessed the conflict between Maggie and Joseph, along with the kiss mark on Maggie’s neck.
Coincidentally, aside from Joseph, the other Camerons avoided the topic.
In the living room, the lights were on, and Master Cameron and Madam Cameron waited anxiously. Seeing Maggie, they rose with concern and inquired, “How did it go? Did Leo agree to it?”
After a brief pause, Maggie responded, “He agreed, but he’s asking for 1.5 million dollars.”
“This is daylight robbery! He’s clearly taking advantage of the situation!” Madam Cameron exclaimed. coldly.
Maggie paused before adding, “Although he agreed, I don’t recommend collaborating with him in the
future.
