I know I got warned by my parents not to talk with anyone at the ball party and when I knew he was my mate, I even got scared more, even when Red my wolf form keeps telling me to take off my mask, I still refused to do it, I know the trauma I had with my parents beating me up for disobeying them and I do not think I am ready for that tonight.

I ran off from the party entering an empty room shutting the door behind me.

I sat on the floor, “I think someone needs to give you an award for being the best runner at the party.” Red said to me.

“Come on Red, remember the rules my parents gave to me.”

“Oh girl, rules do not apply to your mate you know, come on, you saw your mate at the ball, you even danced together.”

“I know all that, I am scared, what if he rejects me, I am a waitress at this party and looking at his outfit and all, I feel he is the popular Alpha Lorde.”

“And a nobody like you got mated to him, can’t you see the moon goddess is at your case? Only your mate can save you from the hand of your demon parents.” Red said with a hiss.

“My parents are not demons.”

“Then why are they treating you like that? Do they treat Katarina that way? Come on girl, get out of your box, walk back to your mate and take off your mask, once he accepts you then boom, we are free from all these.” Red said making a point but yet my other fear is if truly he is the almighty Alpha, then I am doomed, I won’t be able to experience the love and romance I always wished for from my mate.

Then I heard Katarina voice talking with him, I knew he was there because I caught his smell when she mentioned his name, I was correct after all, he is Alpha Lorde.

Maybe I should use this opportunity to leave since he was talking to my sister, who knows he might be interested in her now since I am nobody.

Opening the door to leave, he wanted to talk to me and I ran off again even when he wanted me to wait, I know I am doomed tonight hearing my parents voice.

“You did it again,” Red said.

“Yeah I know, Katarina was with him.”

“And so? Katarina is a bitch and you do not need to be scared of her as a mate to him.”

“Let’s just forget about everything,” I added.

After the party ended, my parents summoned me to meet with them, which I did but right now I could feel my heart is about to run out from my chest.

“You need to calm down Amelia.” Red tried encouraging me.

“I am trying but I feel we might meet our end tonight.”

“Dad, Mom, you called for me,” I said but the first thing I got was a hot slap from mom.

“You ungrateful idiot, how dare you?” Mom yelled.

“I am sorry mom, I did not mean to speak with anyone at the party, please believe me.” I pleaded.

“You do not mean to speak with anyone at the party? Do we look like fools to you? Do you know who you spoke with? Alpha Lorde, seems you are growing wings and I will break them for you, you will never attend any party, ever again till you learn your lesson, but I will have to punish you now for disobeying me tonight.” Dad declared.

“Please I am sorry, you can forgive me, he did not see my face, I ran from him because I did not want to disobey you.” I cry out begging them both.

“Half disobedience is a total disobedience,” Mom added as my dad brought out his whip made of silvers.

Oh no, not the silver.

“I told you your parents are evil and I am taking over,” Red yelled.

“No Red, I can handle this, do not interfere please.”

I received the first whip, I and my wolf form yelled out with our strength as my eyes turned to my wolf colour.

He did it continuously and seized me with the silver, I screamed hell out of me, I can feel my skin burning up and my body turning red already.

Red took over trying to defend me but the worse happen, the more silver was used and it weakened us both.

“Do you think because you just shifted you can try to harm us? You are just a useless wolf.” They left me on the floor and the word echoed to me again. I cried in pain looking at how wounded I am, the bad thing about Silver, apart from killing a wolf, if you can survive the pains when been punished, the scars takes time to heal.

I managed to stand on my feet, “Are you okay Red?”

“Yes, I am.” She said.

I got so thirsty and struggled to walk to tbe fridge to grab a glass of water as blood dripped on the floor and any part I walked past.

I turned closed to two glasses of water and I drank everything once in tears.

Suddenly someone hit the glass cup from me and it shattered on the floor, raising my head, it was Katarina looking at me with all hatred.

“Why did you do that?” I asked.

“You bastard.” She slapped.

About doing it again, I held her hands, “Do not call me a bastard.” I found the word more provoking.

“Don’t you ever in your miserable life get close to Alpha Lorde, he is mine and mine alone, if you turned out to be his mate, better just reject him.”

“Or what?” I finally got the boldness to speak back.

“How dare you talk back at me?” Her eyes changed as she brought out her claws, I did the same, this is the moment Red has been waiting for.

“I can’t wait to teach this bitch a lesson,” Red said.
