Lorde’s Pov

“What made you do it?” I asked in an angry tone.

“I.. I. I” he kept stuttering which made me angrier.

“Can’t you speak or express yourself anymore? What made you do it?” I asked my question in my authoritative voice and it shook everyone to their feet.

He was still shaking and refuse to give me a response, I got so upset with his attitude of not responding but showing me fear, I brought out my claws as I used them on his face angrily, he started bleeding, “Answer me before I end your life as your punishment.”

“Beta, if you do not want a death wish, give us the answer we want from you, who made you do it? You know you broke the code of the family?” Simon tried using his Stamina Beta to ask him but instead, he did something funny.

He started laughing with the blood on his face like he was mocking me the alpha, I picked him up with my hands and threw him to the wall, Raja is roaring inside of me.

He landed on the wall with his back which showed a little crack as he fell on the ground with blood.

“Are you mocking your alpha? I rarely do this but for a dirty wolf like you, I will have no option but to do this, chain him with Silver and when he is ready to confess, do let me know, Simon let’s talk.” I added walking towards the bathroom as Simon tailed behind me.

I turned on the water and wash my hands with soap, “You should have just reaped his heart out, how dare him mock us?” Raja complained.

“I wanted to do so but you know if we kill him now, we might not be able to find out the master planner behind the whole thing going on.”

“Yeah that’s another reason but once we found out the whole details, we are killing him, we can’t let such a dirty wolf live among us, who knows what his next target might be.” Raja kept on talking and I listened carefully before saying a word to Simon.

“What do you think?”

“Alpha Lorde I feel something is not right, he probably knows who the villain in this case is and something tells me it will be a wolf amongst us.” Simon expressed his view with his hands folded and his eyes scanning the whole area then falling back at me again.

“Then we need to use everything to bring out the truth from him as soon as possible, I can’t wait to unleash my anger on them.”

“I understand Alpha Lorde so can you then tell me why you didn’t return home last night? What kept you in that town?” He asked with his right hands on his chin.

“Why do you care to know?”

“Oh, because one I am the beta, if anything should happen to you, I will be the next.”

“You idiot.”

I went after him as he started laughing then my anger I was having died off, Simon is also someone that knows how to stop my anger without putting his life at risk.

“Secondly, I am your best friend.”

“Just go to hell,” I said to him as I stopped.

“Let’s go get a drink.” He suggested as we both stepped out together to my office.

Having my seat, he took the drink from the mini-fridge as he poured them to fill two glasses as he passed them to me.

“So won’t you tell me about it? What kept you so long there?”

“Did you miss me hum?”

“Hell no, I was super excited because you were not around, the home was peaceful and calm.” He laughed about it.

“I still don’t know why I have to stay in the same home with someone like you.”

“I am like your mate Alpha, I got to stick with you forever.”

“Don’t use the word mate, you disgust me with that.”

“I thought it will be romantic to you?”

“Hey.”

“Oh sorry.” We emptied the glass of drink, dropping it on the table looking at each other as we started laughing.

“So won’t you tell me already?”

“Okay fine, since you are like a pain in the ass, I found my mate.”

“Wow.” He screamed in excitement.

“Raja, do you think Simon and his wolf are normal now?” I asked seeing how Simon started dancing in excitement.

“I feel he is okay and just happy for his best friend and alpha who found his mate, they won’t be any new gossip about you not having a mate and the pack will be stronger than ever,” Raja replied.

“Where is she?”

“At home resting, a lot happened over there that I needed to deal with but will tell you about it, let’s get to work already.”

“Oh sure, I will process out the files.” He replied taking his leave.

It was getting dark but one thing about me, when working I put my whole into it, Simon came in saying, “You such a workaholic, you own this company while killing yourself with stress, now go home to your mate who will need you now, I shall take care of the rest things for you and join you at home.”

He smiled taking my things to the car as I drove home.

“Welcome, Alpha Lorde.”The maids and men around welcomed me.

I responded with a nod as I went straight to my room to see my mate, she was not here and her dress was on the bed, I guess it was dry cleaned.

I noticed some things were touched by her and opened up the closet, my best clothes is gone.

Did someone break in here to get it? Is not dirty for the maids to take it for washing.

I stepped out with a frown and when I caught her scent, I felt at ease.

“Good evening mom.” I smiled while talking to mom.

“Oh my cute son, I was just talking about you to…” Mom hugged me turning her back to point someone.

“She was here?”

“You mean Amelia?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

I smiled knowing I could smell her out.

I found out the place her scent was so strong, I bent and saw her hiding, “Gotcha mate.” I said smiling as she stepped out avoiding my eyes.

“Oh there you are, you should have told me you wanted to play hide and seek when you knew my son is back.” Mom said smiling but hold on.

She is wearing the same clothes I am looking for and she looks gorgeous in them.

“Amelia let’s go in, mom good night,” I said taking Amelia by her hands to my room.

I locked the door immediately we went in then I said, “You wearing my clothes?”

“A… a.. alpha. I am… soo.. sorry, I I…. did… not mean to, I could not find my clothes after bathing.” She stuttered.

Why is she sorry? She is so unusual I must say.

“Your dress is on the bed, you can change into yours now,” I said expecting to see her reaction as she took it looking at me like she wanted me to leave.

“Put on your dress,” I added.

“A….. alpha… Do…. yo…. u…. mean… I should dress at your front?”

“Yes.”
