KING MICAH: World Beyond The Ruins

Chapter 5

Micah soon left after I kept silent when he said those words. I took a towel from the bathroom drying up my body before entering the room. I wondered what I would wear and surely, I couldn’t put on my dirty clothes that had the stains of my mothers blood on it. I was grateful to see some clothes laying neatly on the bed and quickly put on the blue shirt.

I had the trouser half way through my ass when the door was pushed open making me snap my head towards the intruder. The same girl from earlier came in with a tray of food in her hands and when she looked up, she noticed me struggling to fit my ass in the pants and quickly look at her feet with a blush coating her cheeks and neck.

“Come in” I mumbled sarcastically and with a huff I zipped up the zipper at the front of the pant.

“Sorry” Fallon murmured in a whisper as she shift on her right hips.

I looked over to the tray that was sitting on the coffee table and picked up the warm bread and shove it in my mouth.

I never knew I was this hungry until I took another bite humming to myself. I cast a glance at Fallon who stood with her back hunched staring at a stain on the floor.

“Would you like some?” I asked her with a piece of bread stretched towards her. She looked at the food in my hand before swallowing down saliva.

“I shouldn’t” She whispered tucking her brown hair behind her ear.

“Well, I insist” I urged while sitting on the bed comfortably.

She cast a glance at the door having an initial battle with herself and with a sigh and hesitation she took the bread from my hand and ate the food in a rush.

“Have some more” I motioned to the food which consisted of about eleven pieces of bread, a glass of milk and water and some scrambled eggs.

She moved timidly and sat on the floor and I frowned at that. “You can sit on the bed” I mumbled and she blushed.

“Alpha King wouldn’t want my scent on his bed”

I shrugged as well both continue eating. We talked as we ate and I learned that she has been working in the castle since she was ten and we were both the same age. She has a younger brother of eighteen who works in the farm and both her parents were dead.

I was happy that she was comfortable enough to open up to me and I felt like we would become good friends.

“So where are we going?” I asked Fallon as we exit the room.

“The King has commanded I show you around the castle” She mumbled flattening her hand on her orange colored gown.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

I hummed as she showed me around. I wasn’t really interested at the things she points out. I have been in a castle literally half of my life although the castle here is far bigger and fantasy like than the one in the ruins I do not see a difference because everything are just long damn halls.

Something caught my eyes though and I cut off Fallons mumbling my grasping her arm making her halt.

“Who are they?” I asked pointing at the large frame hanging on the wall for all to see when they pass by.

“Their Majesty King Elijah and Queen Celeste” She muttered pointing at their names that were written ot the bottom of their pictures.

I had seen a picture quite similar to this but couldn’t make out their faces because they’ve faded over time.

I’ve heard stories about them. How they ruled only their people and hid from the prying eyes of humans before a war broke out revealing the beasts they are.

Although they never never took over the world, their son did making half of the world submit to him.

“We should go” Fallon said after a while of staring at their pictures.

I noticed how a few maids were rushing with dishes and decorating materials.

“Is there a party?” I asked turning my head sideways to glance at the blue eye female beside me.

She blinked at me slowly before muttering a “No”

“Oh” I whispered dryly.

My curiosity got the best of me when two men carried two silver cups and wine. “The witches and the beasts are about to sign a treaty and become allies once again” She said with one brow perfectly crocked up at me.

“I thought they did that a long time ago” I mumbled more to myself but it seems Fallon thought I was talking to her.

She laughed like I was crazy, wiping the tears that had gathered in her eyes while I gave her a dry look.

“Do you live under a rock?” She asked before slapping her hands over her mouth and looked around in case someone heard her. “Sorry”

“No it’s okay” I told her waving my hand and giving her a grin. Her shoulders relaxed and we continued walking.

“The war never ended. The beasts and witches were at war since the Alpha kings’ father betrayed them but hopefully, it ends today” She sighed.

In silence we walked but stopped when someone called Fallon’s name. We both turned around to see who it was.

From the height and elegant clothing the female was putting on, I knew she was one of the wolves.

Fallon lowered her head when the woman approached us in fright. “I asked of you two hours ago when have you been?” She sneered spit flying out of her mouth.

“S-sorry Madam Cleona, the King commanded I s-show his mate around” She stammered gesturing to me with her hand. Cleona’s eyes moved towards me and she rolled them before they snap back to Fallon.

“I don’t care, now come, I need you to bath me” And with that she turned around swaying her hips as she walked.

“Sorry madam Lovette, I have to go” She muttered with her eyes casted down and I frowned at that.

“Fallon!!!” Cleona yelled making us whine at how loud her voice was.

“It’s okay,” I said giving her a small smile even though she couldn’t see it.

She ran catching up with the woman while I was left alone. I continued on with walking around and noticed how dark it has gotten outside.

“Fuck” I cussed under my breath and turned around trying to find my way back to the Kings chamber.

It seems like I was walking down the wrong hall but continued when I heard laughter. There was no one in sight and the only noise around me was from that of my shoe that hits on tie ground and the voices of men and women laughing and talking.

The door before me was quite huge and through the cracks a yellow light was shining from the light in the room.

I peeped through one of the holes and saw a bunch of people feasting. I looked at each faces in the room but stopped when I noticed a man producing a dagger out of his bag.

He held hatred in his eyes as he glared at the king and right before my eyes as Micah drank from his cup, the dagger went straight to his chest.
