Kill Me, Heal Me

Chapter 88 The temporary happiness

Chapter 88 The temporary happiness

But Qu Mengtong never met Belle Ye again. The bag with ID card and the plane ticket in it was put in the utility room where ladies of the club stored their packages temporarily and took away after their duties.

Qu stood in the front door of the Dungeon and face barely showed under the sunglasses. She raised her head to see the high-rise and to shake the image out of her mind, but the security had already told her there was an ugly girl called Belle Ye in the club.

In this world, time changed everything. Not in ten years, while then twenty, or hundreds. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Qu pulled the cap low over her eyes, took a final glance at the door, and then left.

...

Belle Ye fell in love with the buses recently. The red or green buses ran through every street and alley of Gang City. She did not go to the Dungeon for work in recent days for she had enough money now, after asking Echo Xu for leaving, she went out to the street every day.

And with the company of Levi Song.

“Let’s take a bus on the way back, shall we?” Walking out of the shopping mall, Belle raised to speak to Levi.

“Sure thing. As long as you like it.”

These days, Belle changed completely, which confused Levi while also made him sweet and happy. He did not take it as something serious and gave the credit to the concert.

From that night, she was turned from the timid, poor girl to the Belle who was optimistic now.

Levi could not help feeling excited with her change, for which he even took her shopping during the day and regardless of all his works needed to be done. She liked taking buses, so he waited for one by the roadside with her, and once the bus arrived, he took her hands, trying to fill themselves into it. It was inconvenient though for Belle to cram and was almost hit to the ground several times. In the end, Levi just tightened her with his arms.

Belle reached her pockets for changes while found none and had to put an a-thousand bill into the coin box.

“Wow, rich girl. The bus driver must be so pleased.”

“Stop talking. My heard is bleeding now.”

“Hahaha...” Levi laughed out loud with tears even coming out. “Alright alright. I’ll give you a card later. With it, you don’t have to cost yourself coins or a thousand bill anymore.”

She smiled as a response and then moved slowly to a seat. Belle sat down and looked out of the window, thinking about something, while Levi sitting next to her did not interrupt.

Levi was unused to everything on the bus. The noise, the smell, and the speed.

Getting bored, he started a conversation again.

“What’s your plan for tomorrow?”

“I’ll have to deal with some issues tomorrow.” Belle responded calmly.

“Then what about the day after tomorrow? Tomorrows’s tomorrow? I’ve got all the time for you.” He did not even think through when he said so. He forgot his responsibilities and works because of Belle Ye.

She gave an unnatural smile and looked aside.

“Thank you. But let’s see.”

After they got out of the bus, Levi did not forget his word to Belle. He went to a small shop and bought a bus card.

“Here you go. Save your one-thousand bill and your bleeding heart from now on.” He handed it to Belle.

As he said, Belle clenched the card in her hand and felt the sharp corners into her palm.

From now on...would they meet again?

She had too many words stuck in mind and could not tell Levi Song. She had great days with him ever since she was back in the city. They were pure without calculation, interests, or hatred.

Yet these never last.

Levi walked her to the dormitory, while this time, Belle did not go back at once. She watched him closely as if she was branding his face on her mind.

“Something wrong?”

“Mr. Song. I...I kept some words to you.” She said. “Will you blame me if I keep it as a secret?”

He was confused about this question and scratched his head.

“Well, I won’t.”

“What if I had lied to you?”

Lie? How?

Ever since they were met, she kept her distance to him on purpose, and they were getting closer because of his pursuit, not her. Not to mention that she never take his money. How could she lie? This was no need for her to lie.

“What are you thinking, silly girl. How can I blame you if I had...had a crush on you.” He patted on her head.

Belle looked away and replied to him in an even huskier voice.

“Good, bye.”

“Bye. I’ll pick you up tomorrow.”

Goodbye.

Yet Levi did not understand.

She waved.

The happiness of these three days was just a dream, for both Belle and Levi. And now, it was time they awoke.

Farewell.

...

The night was silent. Ethan Mo sat on a sofa, and in the slight yellow light, his eyes could tell his exhaustion.

Barry Mo stood aside, reporting what Belle Ye had done for the recent days. When he mentioned the part where she was on a bus tour with Levi Song, Ethan took off his tie fretfully and threw it on the

ground.

It stopped Barry from speaking.

“Continue!” Ethan glared at him.

“It now seemed like Belle Ye is going to leave on the last day of this month. While Qu Mengtong had already given her the ID and ticket which is a non-stop flight to Jing City at three fifteen of the afternoon. Only two days left now. Echo Xu also confirmed this, because Belle Ye told her she wouldn’ t left until the last day of this month.”

And Barry could not help adding.

“Are you sure to let her go like this, boss?”

Why did he spend so much on bringing her back here if now Ethan just let her walk away so easily?
