It Comes In Three's

Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Lottie’s POV

I thank Del for bringing me back to Anna’s, before I rush inside and instantly race up the steps towards the bedroom I had been residing

in…

I hear chatter from downstairs, followed by the front door closing – which I’m assuming is because Del must’ve followed me in here.

I collapse onto the bed, my breathing irregular as I rub at my face in frustration.

Why the hell does he have to be here right now?!

I hear footsteps approaching next, causing me to sit up and tense – praying that it wouldn’t be him.

The door swings open, revealing a worried looking Anna as she rushes over to me and instantly embraces me in a tight hug.

It is then that I fall apart again and begin to cry into her shoulder… I didn’t mean to make her worry over me… I was being so dramatic over a boy who isn’t even mine!

I’ve never had anybody worry about me either which only added to the guilt of it all!

“Shhh it’s ok you’re home!” Anna comforts me, as I cry harder at her word choice.

Home…

“He’s a f**king little p*ssy a*s b*tch Lottie! He’s already had an earful from me tonight believe me!” Anna rants, as she rubs my back and I

sniffle.

“Why… why is he even here?!” I question, unsettled with the fact that he was currently downstairs for whatever reason.

Maybe to rub it in?

“After you took off, he noticed and had the damn audacity to come over and ask me where you had gone! I went back to the car park hoping you had waited at the car, and the three of them followed behind me like puppy’s with their tails between their legs!” Anna pulls back breaking our hug, as she wipes my face and rants on-

“I only realised then that you had properly ran off somewhere, so I told them I was going out to look for you because you didn’t have a phone to call me with and so they surprisingly offered to help!” Anna scoffs at the thought of the three of them, as I shake my head in

confusion.

“He can leave now, he knows that Del found me.” I grumble, again thankful that it wasn’t actually Alex himself that I had run into on the

street!

“Oh believe me, I already told him to leave but he’s refusing until he speaks to you!” Anna adds, as I instantly pale.

No!

“He what?!” My face contorts in to a horrified look, as she nods.

“Seriously! I said ‘how f**king dare you do that to her and then refuse to leave! She won’t want to see you‘ and yet he still refuses!” Anna explains, as I close my eyes in an attempt to focus on my breathing.

This guy can’t be real? I don’t understand him! He probably wants to see me to make fun of me for reacting like that… he isn’t my boyfriend after all! People just randomly kiss people at party’s all the time do they not? So why did I have to make it such a big deal!

“He’s stubborn so I don’t think he actually will leave too!” Anna complains, as I groan and feel my heart sink into my stomach.

“We can just hide out up here!” Anna adds in an attempt to reassure me, as I shake my head slowly.

“I’m such an idiot! Why did I even overreact like that?!” I hold my cheeks in sheer embarrassment now as Anna instantly hushes me.

“You did not overreact! That bastard knew what he was doing! You can’t tell me that after kissing you on Friday and turning so overprotective on Saturday that he doesn’t like you by Monday!” Anna throws her hands up in the air showing her frustration.

“He’s not my boyfriend.” I admit, feeling ashamed that I had caused a whole scene over him kissing another girl tonight…

“But believe me Lottie! If you had gone and kissed a boy tonight in–front of him… Alex would’ve beaten the dude to a pulp!” She folds her arms and huffs out.

I don’t think he would care enough to do that…

“Maybe it’s best if I just bite the bullet and let him come up… let him speak to me… see what he has to say and then they will leave right?” I breathe slowly, unsure of the plan myself however unsettled by the fact that he was refusing to leave before seeing me.

If he wants to rub it in and have his fun then I can take it… after that he will just leave and I can move on… or try to…

“You don’t have to… are you sure about it?” Anna tests, tilting her head at me.

“Yeah I suppose it’s for the best… they will be out of our hair again after that!” I sigh, as Anna pauses for a brief moment before nodding in understanding.

“If you need anything at all just scream!” Anna grabs my hands, as I smile and nod at her knowing she meant it.

“Ok!” I state, before I watch her stand and head back out of the room…

It would only be a matter of minutes now before he comes up here… before he suffocates me with his demanding presence… why does he This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

even want to see me?

I stand and walk to the bathroom mirror, horrified to see the black mascara smears painted down my cheeks… not now!

I groan, before rushing over to the cabinets to grab a pack of makeup wipes – before I hear his heavy footsteps ascending up the stairs…

I scrub roughly at my cheeks, taking as much of the smudged makeup off as possible, before I hear his steps coming towards my room down the hallway… getting closer by the second.

I take a step back, accepting that this was the best I was going to manage with a simple wipe, before I tighten my messy ponytail and

take a slow steady breath.

Maybe he will be totally pissed at me…

Pissed off because Anna gave him an earful… or pissed off that his fun with Tiffany was cut short because I ran off… or perhaps he is even pissed that I got upset over him like some idiot!

He’s not mine… and he never will be!

Lottie?! Can you come out and speak to me?”
