Chapter 85 Annihilate The Shen Group
Chapter 85 Annihilate The Shen Group
The Shen Group? Stephen?
Jackson looked disturbed. He thought dejectedly to himself, 'All of this is related to that damn woman!'
Derek looked at Jackson and asked, "Jackson, do we need to take an action against Stephen?"
Derek knew very well that Jackson's hostility towards Stephen was not only because of the clans'
conflicts but also because of the connection with Cherry.
"Annihilate the Shen Group. I want to hear that the Shen Group has disappeared from the city, within
three days, " ordered Jackson growling.
Derek could not believe what he was hearing.
Selina looked a little surprised, but Jackson's tone had been too firm to leave any doubt.
"But I think the Shen Group matters very little to us. Instead, Stephen should be the first priority for us
to deal with. In the last five years, Stephen's strength has hardly diminished, no matter how hard we
have tried to weaken him. If he also decides to compete for the Future Project, he will be a tough
competitor" said Derek, evidently worried.
Jackson stared firmly ahead as if everything was under control. "Stephen is not powerful enough to be
our opponent. We are sure to win the project, " said Jackson.
Derek and Selina shared a glance with each other without saying anything. They believed Jackson's
words.
"Okay. I'll deal with the Shen Group", Selina spoke, convinced, "What about Stephen?"
Selina looked at Jackson, waiting for his response.
Jackson put on an evil smile and said casually, "Spare him some leisure days and then give him the
finishing stroke."
As soon as Jackson finished his words, Selina understood his intentions.
Only Derek looked between Jackson and Selina, confused. He had no idea what they were talking
about.
Selina smiled lovingly, "Jackson, I really admire you."
Jackson stared out of the window and kept silent. He would never forgive those who had anything to do
with that damn woman. He had never stopped hating her in these five years. And this hatred only grew
more and more intense.
In that moment of silence, Jackson's phone rang all of a sudden. Taking out the device, he saw it was
Sally calling. He answered the phone.
"Hello, Sally", said Jackson gently.
"Darling, where are you? I want to meet you." Sally's soft voice requested from the other side.
Derek and Selina knew it was Sally. They just looked at each other, saying nothing.
"I'm in JS", said Jackson curtly.
"Then I'll come and see you there", said Sally happily.
"Okay", said Jackson.
"See you soon. I'm leaving now", said Sally eagerly.
"See you later."
Jackson hung up the phone. Derek was curious, "will Sally be here later?"
"Yes." Jackson stared out of the window, looking calm.
"Do Derek and I need to leave first?" asked Selina. She knew Jackson well enough to know he did not
like a crowd. If Sally also joined them, he might be annoyed by the number of people around.
"No. Just stay here", said Jackson.
Derek kept silent all this while. Although Selina wanted to say something, she gave up the idea.
Half an hour later, Sally walked into Selina's office in her pencil high heels.
Seeing Derek and Selina also there, Sally smiled and greeted them, "Derek, Selina, how are you
doing?"
Derek ignored her and looked away. Selina smiled awkwardly and said, "Hi."
Sally nodded in return and sat beside Jackson. As soon as she sat down, she took Jackson's arm and
snuggled up into his chest.
Seeing Sally behave like this, upset Selina a little. Although Sally had been Jackson's companion since
five years ago and Jackson hadn't turned her out, Selina could tell that Jackson did not love Sally. In
fact, maybe there was nobody in his heart. If at all, it could be that woman who had left him five years
ago. Selina had almost forgotten her name and she did not dare to talk to Jackson about her. She
could only guess his feelings about her. She really did not know how to get along with Sally. A nod, an
acquaintance with her was the best she could do for now.
Derek didn't even look at Sally. He had always disliked her.
"Jackson, Derek and you came back from the barracks and to JS, but didn't tell me about it. Why is
that?" Sally asked coquettishly.
"There's something we have to deal with urgently, so we came here directly", said Jackson calmly.
"I understand." Sally was obedient.
Selina felt very awkward sitting there.
Oblivious to it all, Sally smiled and said, "It's really difficult for us to get together. Why not have dinner
together?"
"I…" Selina was too scared to complete the sentence. She didn't want to stay and watch Sally's
awkward mono-drama any longer.
"I'm busy tonight." Derek quickly answered.
Selina was relieved to hear Derek's words. This would help her deny Sally's invitation.
Sally's face blushed. She was embarrassed to be rejected so blatantly.
Jackson knew Derek's opinion of Sally well. He didn't blame him for rejecting Sally's invitation. Instead,
he tenderly turned to Sally, "They're both busy. I'll take you to dinner tonight."
Sally felt a little comforted. She happily said, "Okay."
In the evening, Jackson took Sally to the restaurant they often dined at. Almost every waiter in the
restaurant knew them. Jackson's charm always attracted attention, wherever he went.
Several waitresses gossiped, staring at them from a distance.
"Hey, look at Jackson Chu and Sally He. Are they a couple? They have always dined at our restaurant
together for several years now."
"No. I heard that Jackson had married a woman who was once his nephew's ex-girlfriend. That was not
Sally."
"It is said that his wife ran away five years ago. Jackson searched the entire city but could not find her."
"Really? Why did she run away? Was it because she couldn't stand the indifference of the rich family?"
"I don't know. Anyway, nobody is allowed to mention it, or the Chu family will see to it that they suffer till
eternity."
"It's really scary. Jackson is such a handsome and rich man. I wonder what secrets he hides in his
heart?"
"Who knows? People like us, from simple, lower class, cannot understand the lives of the rich and
powerful families."
"I've always fantasized about being Jackson's woman. I am okay to stay in the cold mansion by myself,
if it means that I could be with him."
"Yes. Being Jackson's woman would mean that you own half of the city. Money and power will be at
your disposal."
"You two are such nymphos! Don't you know how hard it is to deal with that Sally He? She managed to
chase away Jackson's wife. How could you win over her?"
"Ah? Is Sally He so horrible?"NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
