Chapter 29
Angel Leffman
I wanted-no, I needed to kiss her the moment I saw her in that dress. I intended to go with her so people would stop the stupid rumors.
It bothers me how they, especially men, think that Sofia is single again. But as soon as I saw her with a new hairstyle and a dress that showed off her legs, I almost lost control. I can take that, but when she turned around and showed me her almost naked back, my whole body burned with desire. It took everything in me not to rip the dress off her and explore her luscious body. And the moment I figured that the men who would see her would have the same reaction, my blood boiled.
She didn't help me restrain and even played with me when she moved her hips to the beat of the music.
I spent my night listening, answering those stupid rumors, and seeing how maniacs kept their eyes on her. And I knew I needed to make a move to claim her, so I asked her for a dance. I quickly regretted it because touching her ignited the fire within me. Her back felt so soft, hot, and f**k, her smell drove me insane. Visit J o bnib-.com to read the complete chapters for free. Don't even get me started with her lips, which are painted a fiery red. I noticed how she liked my touch and my caresses, and it pleased me. I wanted her to be close to me so that people would know that she's mine and only mine.
I asked about Elisa, and she looked at me with determined yet hurt eyes that took me by surprise. At that moment, I knew I needed to taste her lips, and if Mary did not interrupt us, I swear I would kiss her hard for everyone to see. The whole night was pure t*****e to me, and when we were finally alone, all I could think of was continuing where we left off.
And here I am, savoring the lips that I've wanted to kiss the whole night.
She returned the same want I was giving and moved her body close to mine. My hand found her soft back, which felt hot to touch. I didn't even realize when I had her pinned to the wall. The moment was too sweet and too passionate. I ran my hands all over her figure, and I felt like my whole body was burning.
My lips traveled down to her neck, and she gave me access.
"Angel," she muttered my name under her breath. "Stop."
I kissed her again and left her breathless. I want to feel that she's mine. At that moment, nothing else matters-only her and me.
She let out a small moan, and it triggered my madness. I took her by the waist and moved us to the dining room without our lips separating. I could feel her hand at the back of my head, at my back, and she tugged at my jacket, so I hurriedly removed it, and she helped me. I ran my hands along her tight, my fingers playing at the hem of her dress, and she was the one pulling me close to her body now.
My lips traveled down her neck again as my hand started to remove her dress.
"Angel, no. Wait..." No, I don't want this dream to end. When I didn't, she held my face. "I said wait!"
"What is it?" I asked as she fixed her dress, and the dream I was in shattered.
"Not like this. I mean, we won't be able to fix our problems like this."
"Did you really need to say that now?" I asked in irritation.
She pushed me enough so she could stand straight, and I knew she was right, but God, I wanted it to happen so badly.
I know that after five years of marriage, I never touched or even looked at her. I hated being alone with her, but now I embrace her with so much desire, and it is a big mistake.
I took a deep breath and licked my lips. "Don't worry, and you're right. This isn't right."
"I never said "I looked at her in confusion. So she likes this? "I mean, it's not the time."
Why is she acting so innocent?
"Sofia, stop stuttering." I was amused because she looked so innocent.
"I am not stuttering." She defended herself and fixed her dress.
""Do you want to talk now?"
"Well, it's just that we are getting divorced, and people who are separated or hate each other don't do these kinds of things."
"You're right, and I hated what I did."
"Did you drink much? Of course, you did; if not, you will not do those things." What is she saying? "You won't be with me or feel anything for me because you are taken." "Taken?" I repeated, and God, give me patience. "Do you think I'm that stupid?"
"If not, you weren't doing those things to me. If you are in the right mind, you'll fight or argue with me. Not like this."
"I wonder as well when you are cold and a liar." I stepped closer, and she stepped away. "You are the most arrogant and shameless woman who intended to drive men crazy with that dress." "Excuse me?" She blurted out, looking offended.
"You responded to my kiss; you turned me on, and now I am left hanging by a holy dove like you."
"No, I just..." She looked cute trying to defend herself.
"Is that what you want me to say to show you that I'm not drunk?"
She looked at me without saying anything, and I laughed.
"You're irritating!" She pushed me and walked away from me.
""Do you have something to drink?" I asked as I followed her.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Not for you, so leave," she told me in annoyance.
"Do you want me to leave?"
"You can't play with me like that, Angel. I don't know what's happening to you these days."
"Sofia, please shut up; let's not ruin our night," I told her softly, and she shut up. "Maybe it's better for me to leave before you break a bottle on my head." I teased her with a wink. "You're leaving?" she asked, and I shook my head. Who understands women? "Then leave," she said in a low voice, avoiding my eyes.
"Hey, I wasn't that bad at dancing, right?" I asked her and took off my jacket.
"And I am not a bad canvas, right?" She threw back with arrogance, and I raised an eyebrow.
I pretended to think for a second. "I can't say for sure because I haven't seen the canvas."
"And I didn't see you dance much." She threw back a smirk.
"Dancing while painting. Hmm, not a bad idea with a little inspiration."
At what I said, her facial expression changed.
I took a step closer to her and lifted her face. "What is it? What went in that head that changed your expression?"
"Nothing. As long as you have inspiration, I guess."
I frowned, and I didn't understand her comment.
"Of course, but she's kicking me out, but I can't blame her because I'll do the same."
She looked at me with a half-smile. "It's late, and you're drunk."
"I told you that..."
"It's dangerous for you to drive like that. I don't want to be a widower yet."
I chuckled. "Why? You'll be more rich, powerful, and unstoppable."
She nodded in agreement. "I sure will be, but I still don't want to be a widower."
I was a bit taken aback by her comment. "Do you want me to stay?" I asked gently, holding her waist.
"There is an available room that Amelia often uses whenever she sleeps over. You can stay there or in any other room."
"In your..."
She quickly cuts me off. "No. My room is forbidden for you. You didn't want to be with me in that cold and empty house for five years, and you won't now, especially when our divorce is official."
She turned her back to me and walked down the hallway. I followed her, and she pointed at a room at the end of the hallway."
"That is the room. If it's not to your liking, you can sleep on the couch."
"You said there are other rooms."
"Yes, but I think you will be more suitable on the couch."
"Okay. Do you have anything I can wear?"
Sofia gave me a blank look. "This is a woman's apartment, Angel, but I'll check if I have some."
What does that mean? I followed her to what I guess was her room and stopped her.
"What?"
"I'll just sleep naked," I said, and she blushed. "It won't be the first time anyway."
"I know," she whispered, and I glared at her. "I'll sleep now, and I'll leave you to it."
She almost ran to her room before I could enter, so I called her. "Sofia!" "What?"
"Remember that we are not divorced yet."
She just looked at me before closing the door on my face. I decided to take a cold shower to wash away the remnants of the I**t the kiss we shared. When I entered the room, I smelled Amelia's perfume.
I stood under the shower, and Sofia didn't have to know that I used my loyal friend to satisfy my needs. I was able to finish with the thought of her lips and her skin, and I was able to calm myself when I remembered all the things she did. I convinced myself that I didn't like her kisses or her touches, but it was hard.
I put on my boxer and lay on the bed before checking my phone to see three missed calls from Elisa, two from Mom, and one from Dad. What do they want now?
I checked the messages next, and I saw some from Elisa.
'Hon, I was calling because I want to see you today. Please call me.'
'Angel, where are you? Are you mad at me?
'You know, sometimes I wonder what our life would be like if she didn't ruin us.'
At the last one, I groaned in frustration. Not now, Elisa.
I remember when Elisa showed up in my apartment with puffy eyes and showed me the pictures of me with Sofia. She accused me of cheating on her and asked me not to deny it because Sofia herself confirmed it by mocking her. And then she broke the news that she had a miscarriage and how she asked for Sofia's help but left her alone.
"How could a person lie that much? Elisa isn't like that," I found myself saying out loud.
I then remembered my dream. The times I was with Sofia before her relationship with Kevin and how she denied it now.
"Sofia, it isn't like you to lie like that as well. God, who am I supposed to believe? The woman who almost gave me a kid, who forgave me, who loves me, or the woman I longed for, my wife, the one who swears she didn't kill my unborn child?"
I need to know who among them is telling the truth, even though what her father did to me can't change that. But it's Sofia we're talking about. My Sofia. And I need to know who made me look like a fool all these years.
Sofia, or Elisa?
