I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 357

Chapter 357 Sweet

Harper was taken aback, feeling somewhat helpless.

Benjamin's gaze remained fixed on her as he gently reminded her, "Get in the car. We can't stay here too long, okay?" Harper thought to herself, "Is he really concerned about this?

It's just an excuse."

In the end, Harper got into the car. She lowered her head and fastened her seat belt. Then, the car headed forward.

It was quiet as they made their way back to the apartment, both lost in silence.

Neither of them brought up the topic of Dorcas again.

Harper told herself that this was just a small matter, and she shouldn't let it affect their relationship or sour the mood. More importantly, she had a competition to focus on and didn't have the extra energy to spare on other things.

The night before the competition officially began, Benjamin advised her to finish work early, saying, "Don't work overtime tonight, okay? Let's go out for dinner. You've been pouring all your time into the sketches recently, and it's not good for you, alright?" Harper pressed her lips, instinctively wanting to refuse.

Seemingly sensing her thoughts, Benjamin spoke before she could. "Just think of it as keeping me company, alright?"

In the end, Harper agreed.

Benjamin took her to the Silver for dinner, just the two of them.

After the meal, he drove her to the riverside for a walk. They held hands, enjoying the quiet moment without exchanging words. Walking along the riverbank, Benjamin led her to a cozy bar street, which created a relaxed ambiance.

Looking down at her, Benjamin suggested. "Want to go in?"

However, Harper, being pregnant, didn't feel comfortable in such a place and hesitated, saying, "I

Narrowing his eyes, Benjamin calmly remarked, "Just a quick visit, no?"

Harper remained silent.

He reached out, holding her shoulder, and whispered, "Are you not even curious about the surprise I've prepared for you inside?" Surprised, Harper glanced at Benjamin, who was wearing a mysterious smile.

Before Harper could fully comprehend, he was already leading her inside.

Entering the bar, he covered her eyes with his hand, reassuring her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."

Benjamin guided Harper to sit on a sofa, then glanced at the person opposite before removing his hand covering her eyes.

Harper, unaccustomed to the sudden light, rubbed her eyes and, upon lowering her hand, saw the person sitting across from her. She exclaimed, "Annie? What are you doing here?"

Annie smiled, crossing her arms and teasing, "Mr. Martin paid a high price to bring me here, to accompany you for this competition. You two are so sweet not considering my feelings at af What's with this setup Trying to make me jealous?"

Harper instinctively looked at Benjamin, who was gazing at her.

Harper smiled and said, "Thank you, Benjamin."

Benjamin simply pinched her cheek, whispering, "You two chat, I'll go get the car."

The car was still parked where they had dinner, a distance away.

After Benjamin left to fetch the car Annie, with a gossipy look, turned to Harper curiously asking, "So, you'
