I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 345

Chapter 345 Let Down

Lauren stared at Mrs. Eleanor and her eyes were filled with anger.

"Isn't that right? It's because your granddaughter, Harper, relies on her husband Benjamin's power to dominate the hospital. If it weren't for you old lady, how could my mother possibly not undergo surgery now? You're harming people, and you'll face retribution." "Lauren Davis! Shut your mouth!" With Lauren's words, Harper's voice echoed from outside the ward.

Harper walked into the room, expressionless, her eyes staring straight at Lauren. She pointed to the door and said coldly, "What nonsense are you spouting? What's wrong with you? Get out of here right now."

"What? Are you afraid I'll expose your actions in front of your grandmother? Harper, if you dare to do it, why don't you dare to admit it?"

Lauren showed no intention of leaving, sneering. She had already shifted all the blame onto Harper.

She believed it was Harper's doing.

Harper looked at her coldly. "Lauren Davis, don't speak nonsense. If you have evidence, show it. If not, stop spreading rumors. Get out of here right now!"

Lauren snorted and pointed at Mrs. Eleanor. "Harper, you resort to such despicable means for a match. Aren't you afraid your grandmother won't be able to bear it, let alone get off the operating table..."

Before Lauren could finish her sentence, Harper raised her hand and slapped her cheek hard.

Lauren was stunned.

She hadn't expected Harper to hit her.

This was the third time she had been hit by Harper.

She looked up at Harper, their eyes meeting. The fierce anger in Harper's eyes silenced her.

Harper's face was cold as she

muttered, "Get out right now, or I'll give you another slap. Lauren, do not test my patience. If it's spread that you bullied an old person and a pregnant woman, your career will be over. Do you want to try?"

Lauren clenched her lips, her cheek stinging.

She stared at Harper for a moment, then left the ward without saying another word.

But the matter didn't end there. She wouldn't let Harper win.

After Lauren left, the atmosphere in the ward quieted down. Harper stood still with her back to Mrs. Eleanor, adjusting her emotions.

After a moment, she turned around, and Angie quickly left.

Harper looked at Mrs. Eleanor,

walked to the bedside, and smiled faintly. Grandma, don't believe what she said. The match I found for you is unrelated to her. I found the match though my friend."

Mrs. Eleanor nodded in agreement.

Still uneasy, Harper instructed Angie not to let Lauren in again. She didn't want Lauren to disturb Mrs. Eleanor, and she was worried Mrs. Eleanor would be influenced by Lauren's words.

But no matter how good the care was, there were still loopholes to be exploited.

That night, when Angie was accompanying Mrs. Eleanor for a walk, Lauren appeared in front of Mrs. Eleanor again. She was unwilling, so she questioned Mrs. Eleanor, "You're so unethical as

Harper. You've occupied my mother's heart. Will you feel at ease?"

Angie tried to retort, but Mrs. Eleanor, who had lived for so many years without anyone ever calling her unethical, was deeply affected.

Especially now, in a public place, with many people coming and going, everyone was watching.

Mrs. Eleanor really felt embarrassed and wished she could find a hole to hide in.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

But Lauren didn't stop there. She said many hurtful things, wearing a mask and sunglasses the whole time. Others didn't know who she was, but they could see Mrs. Eleanor's reaction. For a while, there was a lot of discussion.
