I slowly opened my eyes, my view was blurry, all I could see was two blurred faces near me until it started to focus, now, I could identify the images. It was Sy and Hunter?

“What do you feel-Sydney, her heartbeat is fucking slow! Do something!” Hunter seemed confused and furious. But why?

“Celeste is fine, my lord. You have nothing to worry about, her vitals will become stable in just a few minutes, give her body its time to adjust,”

I nodded, “I see-” I blinked twice then looked at her then to Zacharias, “W-what did you just said?”

A sudden feeling of blood gushing through my vein caused me to become dizzy, then my throat suddenly feels dry, like I was thirsty for no reason. I was confused with the mixture of pain and confusion.

“She has to eat,” I immediately turn my gaze to Sydney, she gave me a knowing smile, “You have to eat, Vee. You’re hungry,”

“But my stomach aren’t growling-”

“It’s your throat that is hungry, Vera. Not your stomach,”

“What do you mean-” I mouth starts to drool, a smell of a delicious and savory food filled my nostril, I roamed my eyes, only to fund out that Sydney was holding a pocket knife, and her arm is bleeding, “Sydney! I tried to step forward, but immediately halted and cover my mouth using both of my hands, my eyes grew wider, and my eyes starts to get foggy, because of the tears that is building up.

“You have to eat, Vee,”

“Then let’s hunt, if you can’t eat from your friend, then let’s go out and do something about your problem,” Zach’s voice dominate my thought.

The next thing I knew, we were running on the same speed, the view is a bit blurry, and air is gushing through my face, it’s like a Christmas breeze, my mind is in chaos. I can hear the chirping birds, screech of the car tires, gushing falls, even the wind, and the small insects.

“I will answer some of your questions later on, but for now, you have to fill that hunger, so you can have a grasp control of yourself,”

I nod and try to move as quickly yet silent as possible, the poor deer was having the time of its life, eating grasses, I find the right que before I jumped and catch it. I can feel something coming out of my mouth, I didn’t think twice and starts to devour the animal.

I felt an unfamiliar feeling of contentment.

After I finished devouring the deer, I stood up, feeling nothing. I slowly lift up my hands and looked at my bloody hands, my tears starts to flow.

“W-what the hell is happening to me? W-why, why did I become like this?” my muffled voice is an evident that I am confused right now.

“I can’t fully answer that, Vera. Maybe the spell that Sinitra had gave you awoken the spirit inside you,”

“What do you mean, that I’m not a human being from the very beginning? Why? Am I a vampire? A wolf? What kind of monster am I? Did my real family abandoned me because of this? Because I’m a monster? And what did Sinitra did that made me like this? What does she want? Even I myself have no idea what my real identity now, I’m questioning my existence right now!”

I starts to sob, and sat on the floor, my heart is aching, but what makes it ache more is that I feel empty, nonchalant, like I woke up and all my human feelings were washed away!

“I will try o answer as many question as possible, but for now, you have to rest, congratulation on your first hunt,”
