Chapter 41
Chapter 41
"Boyfriend?" asked Blake with an arched brow . He chuckled before drinking vodka again.
"If I didn't say that, he won't stop pestering me." Stacey said laughing lightly.
He turned to look at her again. "Was that your boss?"
She sighed before nodding. "Let's not talk about him. If you won't give me some more alcohol, I will go
to a bar with Eve so we can continue drinking." she said with a pout.
"I heard that!" Eve said. She playfully slapped Blake's left arm so he could move over before she sat
between them. She didn't want them too close.
She groaned and rolled her eyes while Blake just shook his head.
"This couch is for more than three people so we can all sit comfortably. If anyone feels cramped, then
move to the other sofa." her friend said with a dry tone before putting alcohol in a glass.
Then her phone started ringing again.
"Another caller? Talk to whoever that is then turn off your phone!" Eve suggested.
Frowning, she looked at the screen. As expected, it's her pervert boss again. She was thinking of
rejecting the call but then she changed her mind.
"Okay, I will take it in your room. Excuse me!" she told them but she quickly grabbed Eve's glass and
drank the booze.
"STACEY!" The cousins exclaimed in unison.
"I needed that to have courage to tell this caller who is my condescending boss what I think of him so
he will leave me alone then we can drink in peace. " she told them then giggled.
She blew Blake a kiss while she winked at Eve.

She leaned on the closed door to steady herself. She feels a little dizzy from alcohol. She cleared her
throat before accepting the call.
"Hello." she huskily answered.
For five seconds or so , she didn't hear Nick say anything. She knows that he's at the other end
because she can hear his shallow breathing. She can imagine him looking murderous. Like a bull ready
for a bullfight. She grinned. Knowing that he is really pissed gave her a certain kind of high.
"I don't know what game you are playing Stacey..but I don't like it." he said chillingly.
She has to give it to him that he sounds calmer even if she knows how mad and jealous he is. He is not
yelling now which is a good thing.
"Have you been to your shrink lately?" she asked while swallowing a giggle.
At this point, she has to thank the vodka she drunk. It is really helping her to be gutsy as she talks to
her condescending and bipolar boss.
"What does that supposed to mean?" Now his voice sounds menacing which made her straighten her
back.
He doesn't scare me! Her more than tipsy mind thought.
Come to think of it, she can provoke him now because they are just on the phone. He can't do anything
to her. But of course, talking to him this way face to face is a different story..
"I think you forgot to take your medication for your bipolar disorder. Your mood swings are really
confusing me." she said calmly but her words are slurred. "But don't get me wrong, I prefer the way you
talk to me now though your voice can freeze a volcano. It's much better than you yelling at me like you
did a while ago."
She heard him exhaled heavily. He seems to be controlling blowing up at her again.
"Where are you Stacey? Give me your exact location now!" he demanded. His voice is low but his
words are steely.
Nick is more than sure that she has been drinking because she has been slurring her words. He's
trying to hold his temper at the moment. He wants her to give him the exact address of where she is
right now.
Stacey's eyes became like slits. "You really are the bossiest man I have ever met! I am surprised that
you don't wear your crown and royal robe because you talk and act like a king! I am not at your office
so don't give me orders!" she angrily said.
"Don't make me come for you honey." he said in a dangerous voice.
"Stop calling me honey! Only my boyfriend calls me that! " she yelled.
How dare he use Derick's endearment for her? She doesn't want this sex starved Casanova calling her
that. She didn't hear any reaction from him for a few seconds but when he spoke, she realized that
maybe she has gone too far in pissing him.
"Your boyfriend? The one you are with right now?" his tone sounds really frightening which made her
feel that that the alcohol suddenly lost its effect.
She started to pace Eve's room as she talks to calm her nerves a little. "I told you I will go back to work
tomorrow. I have to go now and please stop calling me." she said and hang up.

"What did your high-handed boss has to say this time?" asked Blake .
She just made a face at him before reaching for the bag of potato chips. She walked to the kitchen.
She is sure that they won't give her more vodka so she will check if there's chilled beer. She smiled
when she saw five cans.
"Looks like your boss has the hots for you girlfriend!" Eve joked but she chose not to comment.
"Please say thanks to Lance! I'll get two of his beer." she said.
She opened one before going back to the living room. She saw Blake's disapproving look.
"Why are you so grumpy?" She asked him with a slight frown.
Eve sighed . "As if you need to ask." She shot her cousin a glance.
"Stop that! You are like my boss when you act like that.." she joked to make the situation lighter.
He stood up angrily, "NEVER COMPARE ME TO YOUR WACKO EMPLOYER!" he rasped before
walking out.
She gaped in shock while Eve just shook her head.
"What happened to him? " she asked.
Eve just raised her left brow at her. "You are really clueless aren't you girlfriend?"
"Huh?" she looked at her friend with a puzzled expression. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Oh forget it! Come on let's just continue drinking! My cousin will get over it!"
Instead of her opening up to Eve, they just talked about the past . She decided not to tell her about
Nick and Derick yet. Eve talked about her boyfriend before Lance. The family of her ex didn't want her
for their son and sadly, he chose his family over her. Her friend was heartbroken because Tom was her
first love.
After over an hour, she had to help Eve to her bedroom because she could hardly walk after finishing
one bottle of vodka. Seems like her friend hasn't totally gotten over her first heartbreak. She sighed as
she looks at her. She turned off the lights before closing the door quietly.
She's still a little tipsy so she decided to take a nap on the sofa for an hour or so. She can't drive in this
state. But before lying down, she checked her phone.
Nick sent her a message an hour ago. She frowned after reading it.
I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE HONEY.
(Nick)
He gritted his teeth when she hang up on him. He got fed up of getting worried and annoyed when she
is not with him. He always wants to know where she is and where she is going. He thought of hiring
someone to have her followed but he doesn't like the idea of another person watching her. He should
be the only one doing that.
So the next best thing is a tracking device. He had it installed in her car early this morning. But he
reprimanded the maker and the installer because it was defective. It took a while before he could trace
her. And when it finally worked, he doesn't know where she is exactly. She is parked in a paid parking
lot. He had to call someone to get information about her closest friends. According to his informer, Eve
Razon is Stacey's best friend. And thanks to his connections, he found out that she is also one of the
owners of the bar where Stacey used to sing. Her condo is right across the street where Stacey's car is
parked. Now he has her exact address.
(Stacey)
To: Nick Alcantara
I believe you are bluffing.
She sent the message with a smirk. She carelessly tossed her cellphone on the table. She was about
to lie down on the couch when the door bell rang. She frowned. She knows it's Blake. He probably
finally got over his grouchiness. He has never been chippy before so maybe a little teasing will lighten
his mood. She grinned.
She ruffled her hair and pinched her cheeks a little so she'll look flushed from alcohol. She will pretend
she has gotten more drunk. She bit her bottom lip and readied a sexy smile.
Upon opening the door, she slowly ran her eyes from his long legs clad in a pair of black jeans up to his
broad chest.
"Blake..." she huskily murmured his name.
When her eyes came up to his stubble then to his face, she gasped.
In front of her is a grim faced Nick Alcantara. His eyes are traveling maliciously from her smooth legs
and thighs, to her flat tummy, up her breasts and finally rested on her shocked but still very lovely face.
"Is that the name of your boyfriend?" he asked in a very cold voice as he gives her a menacing
look.
