No One Is Allowed To Touch Her
She encountered Dave in the hallway, he was heading for the cafeteria. She stopped to avoid running into him again. Their eyes met briefly before his eyes drifted to the fresh marks painting her neck and shoulder. Realisations settled across his countenance, sending a flush of shame through her. But instead of a smirk or taunt, his face softened into concern. The boy looked away immediately, not wanting to cause her more embarrassment. He stepped towards her.
"Nate has lost his mind," he murmured, digging for something in his bag. Disappointment was thick in his voice. She watched as he drew out a feminine scarf from his bag. It belonged to one of his flings.
"Here, take this," he offered the scarf to her with an apologetic expression. Sera glanced at the scarf longingly but refused with a shake of her head.
"I..I can't take this," she said as a teardrop slipped past her eye. Nate would bring down hell on her if he found out she had taken the scarf from him. He understood the reason behind her refusal.
"Don't worry. I'll talk to him," he insisted, a hint of pity in his eyes as he gazed at her.
"There is no point. He won't understand," Sera countered, a hint of sorrow marred her features.
"I'll handle him. You take this," he pressed, knowing very well just how humiliating those visible bruises must feel with every step she took. In his obsession with her, Nate had lost his humanity.
Sera wasn't convinced. When she made no move to take the scarf, Dave grasped her hand and placed the scarf in her palm.
In a split second, his hand was ripped away from hers, causing the scarf to slip from her hand. Before her mind could catch up, Dave was thrown against the wall across from them. Her wide, confused eyes snapped to the attacker. The sight of fuming Nate sent a bolt of terror through her veins. Her body turned ice cold.
With his murderous glare locked on Dave, Nate stalked over and yanked him up by seizing his collar.
"Nate, leave me the fu.." Dave's words cut off as Nate struck a lethal blow against his jaw, snapping his face to the side. Sera flinched.
She realised he was out for blood, and she also knew she wouldn't be able to stop him herself. So, she ran to get some help.
"Why did you touch her?" Nate seethed dangerously, his fist crashing into Dave again and again. Blind rage consumed him, his sanity had abandoned him at that moment. The sight of his hand in hers had set fire through his veins, turning him into a bloodlust maniac.
Dave fought back, his fist colliding with him but Nate was relentless, driven by his anger. His fist rained down like a relentless storm, fueled by pure vengeance.
Sera came back with teachers and
guards on her tail. But the moment her eyes tanded on the brutal scene, she froze terror locking her in place He had beaten Dave black
and blue. The guards.n
forward and struggled to catch Nate. Náte escaped their clutches, but they managed to catch him after
some attempts. They hauled him off Dave. Luckily, Dave was still
conscious as he scrambled to his feet after some struggle.
Their eyes locked in a seething glare, tension rolling off them.
"Deranged asshole," Dave cursed before breaking their staring contest. Nate had taken a few hits but they didn't compare to Dave's A staff came forward to assist Dave, but Dave shoved him off. Turning around, he began limping his way out of there. Nate's hostile glare remained on Dave until he disappeared around the corner. His eyes drifted to Sera then. Sera was looking at him only, eyes burning with resentment. He wasn't remorseful, let alone apologetic for beating his best friend. Disgusting. She broke their eye contact and walked away, making sure he noticed the contempt in her eyes.
She was walking down a shadowy alley to the bus stop when Nate caught her
wrist and pushed her against the wall.
His glare pinned her to the spot as he closed in on her. His eyes blazing with jealousy.
"You hate my touch but enjoy his," he snarled, towering over her with barely restrained fury. Her doubting her morality only stoked her anger.
"He didn't touch me," she asserted, holding his gaze. Right now, her hatred for him overpowered her fear of him. How could he hurt his own friend like this? Dave was his truest friend who had nothing but only care and concern for him. But Nate was too selfish to see that. And she hated selfish people like nothing.noveldrama
"Don't fucking lie to me," he gritted out, slamming his hand against the wall, making her flinch.
"I am not lying. He was only giving me a scarf to hide my..the marks," she stated. The nerve of him to question her morality when his was rotting in the gutter.
"He has no right to touch you," he seethed, the muscles in his jaw tensing.
"He saw how embarrassed I was and offered the scarf. He didn't even touch me. He was just being kind and thoughtful. Dave is like a brother to me, nothing else," she said, not able to understand how he could doubt his own friend's intentions.
Nate kept staring her down, searching for any sign of a lie. But he found none.
"Can you leave me? I have to go home," her voice trembled with barely concealed anguish as she
asked. Nate released her a moment
later, realising he had messed up. Sera wlaked a few steps before looking over her shoulder. A moment of hesitance gripped her befoe she decided to speak her heart out for the one who cared enough for her in this cruel world, "I..I don't have a friend, never did. But if I ever had someone who truly had
my back, I would have held onto them, with everything I had."
He knew Dave wasn't the kind to backstab him, but the sight of them together had
ignited a rage so fierce within him that he lost hold over his reasons.
